Re: Zimbabweans in the UK 2025
He’s a great bowler when it’s swinging, agreed. Easily in the top 5 seamers Zim has to offer if playing in English conditions was a constant. Feel kinda bad for him not having had a big career franchise wise, but he’s a really good lad. Had a beer with him last summer and with Greg, too, mind you. E...

Re: State of SA
Anyone see the absolute state of the Varsity Cup yesterday? This isn’t the first time this has happened, btw, that a couple black guys have gone down in warm up and the team has to play a man down as the 11th player literally couldn’t play because they only had white options left. This happened a co...

Re: Zimbabweans in the UK/Europe Club Cricket (2022)
People say its just 'club' but, to be honest, the standard is seriously high. I play in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire Premier League and each side will have about 2 or three Staffordshire or Cheshire minor counties players, as well as a gun overseas pro. Each side has a couple of genui...

Re: Zimbabweans in the UK/Europe Club Cricket (2022)
Dips with his swing must be lethal in English conditions. Spoken to him at length, he's tearing it up and I'm going to get him at Elworth next summer Where is Elworth? You signed him yet? It’ll be interesting to see how Nyathi gets on in an ECB prem as a pretty run of the mill franchise player

Remembrance Nyathi in ECB Premier League for Louth and Brandon Diplock in the same for Bourne CC.
Diplock currently top wicket taker in the whole Prem.

Re: Zimbos in the UK 2021
All rounder update. Brad Evans has opted out of Zim A series to play club cricket. Bizarre as he was doing all the hard yards. Will Mashinge is playing for Elworth CC near Cheshire, and seems to be finding the going okay with the bat but tough with the ball. Diplock is playing for Bourne in an ECB p...

Re: ZC Corruption Scandal - Former Player
I think I know who he is. If I’m correct, he thinks Rhodesia was a no good, evil, backward place, and much prefers the “New Zimbabwe”. Not my cup of tea. Keep your secret, mate.

Re: National Premier League 2020 ( NPL )
A strong performance today from the Kings ! Watching Zhuwao bat when he’s on it is quite a remarkable thing, I must say. He’s special at times. Was good to see Welch back and get among the runs. Hopefully he continues to work hard and play for us one day soon. Evans bowled well again, and that’s enc...

Re: National Premier League 2020 ( NPL )
Pitches at OH have been pretty spin-friendly and slow so there’s reason the pacers haven’t been as effective as the slow boys. I’d say Evans is bowling around the early to mid 130s with his whippy action. Mambo around 130 at times when he is on song and looking in rhythm. Diplock 120s but have seen ...
