[Match Thread] Rocks v Rhinos (Logan Cup)
Southern Rocks v Midwest Rhinos
14-17 October, Masvingo Sports Club
Rhinos odds-on favourites to remain unbeaten? Or can the Rocks pull a surprise out of their hats..?

Rhinos less The Cremer!!!!! I dont knw, perhaps Rocks will be counting thier chances here. Rhinos must be banking on V. Sibanda to continue rediscovering himself. His on to watch out for.

Rocks without Tikolo, its guna be tight but we will win
12.4 Odhiambo to Vermeulen, FOUR, that's an appalling long hop, Vermulen had plenty of time to get into position, drink a cup of tea, and pull the ball towards the long leg boundary- his first boundary today

Don't be too confident Rockers, we may not have Graeme Cremer for this game but we do have Brighton Mugochi.
Be afraid Rocks, be very afraid, because Brighton is coming for you .......

Scorecard: http://www.cricinfo.com/zimdomestic-09/ ... 14298.html
Southern Rocks all out for 299 runs.
Some points to note for:
1. It seems that Midwest Rhinos has signed a 26 years old former player named Justin Lewis. He is playing in this match although didn't pick up any wicket.
2. Runs for my highly rated opening batsman Stephan James Marillier (57), skipper Justice Chibhabha (57), Craig Ervine (41) and Tafadzwa Kamungozi (71*).
3. It's the maiden half century of S Marillier in his 2nd FC match.
4. Southern Rocks has a good looking lineup. Probably, they are my 2nd favourite after Tuskers and it looks like some of their players are really up for a slot in the ''A'' side.
5. Edward Rainsford has a 5 wicket haul in this match. Probably prooving his value in the national squad.

Scorecard just updated by CricInfo....
Southern Rocks 299
Midwest Rhinos 288/9
Another century for Vusimuzi Sibanda. He scored 107 runs continuing his good form. Another notable contribution came for Solomon Mire who scored 66 runs. 3 wickets each for Matanga and Kamungozi.
Justin Lewis bowled a spell of 8-3-17-0 in his comeback match. Not much used by Sibanda, I reckon. He played his last official match for Midlands against Mashonaland in 2004 before disappearing from the scene. Probably he was playing club cricket in UK since then.

Great knock from Vusi SIbanda (again). His really in good nick scoring hundreds like they are going out of fashion. Perhaps we should get him into the national side considering that our batting department needs to be tightened up.

Re: [Match Thread] Rocks v Rhinos (Logan Cup)
My team played well Southern we Rock!!!!, it seems we are improving with each outing i hope we keep on improving. It would have been nice to see guys getting hundreds but we will soon get there. Vusi is playing very well and its nice to see, hope he gets a place for the Bangladesh tour but there will be too many openers dont know how they will arrange the batting order. Rainsford got a 5 wkt haul he definitely wants in.
