Just a few balls in and Masakadza is looking deliciously good. As in Vusi delicious, which unfortunately means he can come out any time
.
But honestly , I haven't seen Hamilton play with so much confidence since like forever.
Only in T20s.

57-0, and we are motoring here! Bishoo bowling a right load of dross.
Holder trying to bowl 79mph bouncers doesn't look great for his leadership qualities.
Did anybody else see that crunching sweep shot from Mire? Wow
These two are looking solid to say the least

I know Solomon stats aren't great but Christ he's a exciting prospect , can only be good for cricket. Great start from the boys , just need to bat sessions and not worry about the Score
Indian and English cricket is a cult and bazball is delusional and embarrassing. Bumrah chucks it, Cummins has a shocking seam position, stokes is a fraud. Bangladesh shouldn’t have test status, Bradman was a coat.Marco Jansen is good, zim will rise !

I'd rather have this x factor opening than Brian Chari, for example.Andybligzz wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2017 9:33 amI know Solomon stats aren't great but Christ he's a exciting prospect , can only be good for cricket. Great start from the boys , just need to bat sessions and not worry about the Score
He's probably not the long term solution but hey, he has every shot

Not much happening for the bowlers with the new ball. I didn't watch yesterday but it sounded as if Jarvis was reversing it at bit, so the real test from the pacers will come in the afternoon.

Solid work from the lads.
Lets hope we can carry this on in the afternoon and evening sessions. Stay positive and take it over by over, small steps.
I've been very very impressed by the technique's of these two, especially Mire. Looks like he has a lot of time

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies
They were just bonus runs in that session.
The real test starts now, let's just pretend that our fourth innings target is 358 (which it basically is because we haven't lost a wicket yet). To knock off 358, we'd really need our openers to get us down to 220-ish because of our ability to collapse at the drop of a hat.
Still a monumental effort required.
And whoever it was that spoke of Cremer - yeah he's a strike bowler. He will sometimes fetch a few but he gets amongst the wickets. And the reason why is because he's always capable of something special. I don't want to single out Mpofu because he's not the only one, but he doesn't really have much variation to surprise the batsman. No incredible out swinger or a 145kmph effort ball. Whereas Cremer in any given over can get one to turn at right angles, or unleash the googly, etc... so he's always a chance. But he's always a chance of dropping it short and being smacked for 6.
