Mutizwa first
Moor just had a great performance. Surely he should be in as keepr if they want to replace Regis in future.

I don't think Mutizwa can get into the ZIM side as a batsman right now - partly because he's played a huge part of his FC career at 3, and even Hami can't get in there with it reserved for "superior players".

At least Mutombodzi can roll his arm, and is actually a brilliant career midlle order batsman.

We've seen him bat more than a few times. The boy is extremely comfortable in his game.

Back then when he was very young and largely a bowler, it was criminal to bat him at 4/5. Even when he batted lower, Zimbabwe was already defeated and he came in to slog hopelessly or get run out handing back strike.

I think in terms of introductions considering his age, quality of opposition and misuse, away etc, he is possibly the worst introduced national player since that ZIM youngsters post-rebel crisis emergencies.

All of Vitori, Jarvis, Meth, Malcolm, Ncube, Moor, Wellington, Mire, Masvaure, Burl etc have gotten rather fair and decently managed introductions if you think about it.

Question: why did #10 and 11 come in before Regis in this innings. So weird lol, reverse card or 2 night watchmen I can't think of anything, any help appreciated.
Yep, 2 nightwatchmen

I don't think there's a better middle order bat in ZIM now than Mutombodzi.

Rhinos crumbling here

Comparing the Rhinos squad to the Eagles we were all very critical of the ‘lack of’ international players in the Eagles side whilst the Rhinos were packed with them

In hindsight it might have been a smart move with the Rhinos missing so many stars they’ve struggled whilst the Eagles are sitting pretty now

Quality of opposition must be taken into consideration but I’m enjoying seeing his growth from the young kid at the Rocks who looked like he was destined to suffer the same fate as his franchise

I often get the feeling that our domestic plodders absolutely get the jitters whenever they have to face a slow bowler they haven't faced a billion times in the nets since primary school. When we are talking about quality spinners (of sorts) and not part-timers like Maunze and Chapungu who have wreaked havoc in this round it seems to take even longer before they are "found out" and their returns become more "normal". For example Wadlan had unbelievable stats when he first came here, now he is merely doing okay. Maruma was absolutely devastating when he first hit the scene, M'shangwe had great returns in the Logan Cup over a period of time, even Mutombodzi was takign wickets for fun way back when, and the list of young spinners who made a spectacular entrance into franchise cricket (without then going on to greater things) could go on.

Manuze has been good this season with bat and ball. Seems like a top bloke too, hard working and dedicated. Hope he can keep going on this good run of form.

But it is true our batsman struggle against part time spin.
