Re: Where to from here?
Appartently it makes a lot of sense.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 12:31 pmThe ace Zimbabwe still have up their sleeve they can play is a diaspora and money.
Schadendorf, Byrom, Myers, Cartwright and Goodwin are still out there and eligible.
There needs to be an effort to get a few of those back.
Goodwin would be a dream but I think he’s headed for the baggy green when a few longstanding Aussies retire next ashes.
In my opinion none of the above mentioned players have any chance for a more prestigeous career outside the national squad of a Test Nation as Zimbabwe is.
So, theoretically, under a mere cricketer point of view, there should be a "stampede" by them to have the chance to play international cricket. Sometimes maybe Test cricket also.
So why are away? Are they truly making more money where they are?
Out of them, I think also of PJ Moor. Can he sensibly think to have more chances to steadily playing international cricket for Ireland?
And, in a not too remote future, is foreseeble for Tom Curran to be selected again in a super competitive line-up as England is?
Re: Where to from here?
PJ bloody moor
he’d have to be here 3 year or whatever to qualify. No way he’s putting himself through that yo. Would ZC even have him back?
More chance of luring tawanda back. Same with Tommo Curran, he plays for England, besides ZC ain’t competing with Surrey dollar.
Don’t really need them either. BT is more than halfway through his ban now.

Re: Where to from here?
This is what my team would like like without Ervin, Evans and Williams , change is needed and absolutely sick and tired of playing guys who just dont perform.
Welch
K/Long
Bennett
Madande
Raza
Burl
Campbell
Mavuta
Jongwe
Blessing
Ngarave
Others in Squad - Wellimgton , Kaia , Wes , Chivanga
This team would give hope , you add Williams , Ervine and Evans to that when fit and it looks good.

I spoke of this before and I was called out for it. My apologies for stating this again and writing names, Zim cricket is dead with Kamunhukamwe and Gumbie opening, having Marumani as the substitute opener. Rightly stated we can’t even afford to drop Wes but alas. Who in their right mind drops Welch for those above? Noone but ZC. Zim cricket for now is dead and we have to accept that. We have 1 chance of bringing life into it and that’s throwing money at the above mentioned. Certainly won’t make us beat West Indies or Afg but we gain some respect especially against the associatesZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 12:31 pmThe ace Zimbabwe still have up their sleeve they can play is a diaspora and money.

Worse selections than Dave, and that's saying something!

You are clueless , I'm glad I don't see cricket the same way you do as you have no idea .secretzimbo wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 8:22 pmThree leggies in the teammnelson68 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 7:55 pmThis is what my team would like like without Ervin, Evans and Williams , change is needed and absolutely sick and tired of playing guys who just dont perform.

Picking holes just for the sake of disagreeing with me. Burl and Campbell are part timers , does it really matter if they bowl offies or leggies ? They are all different wakeup to yourself.mnelson68 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 10:48 pmYou are clueless , I'm glad I don't see cricket the same way you do as you have no idea .secretzimbo wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 8:22 pmThree leggies in the teammnelson68 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 7:55 pmThis is what my team would like like without Ervin, Evans and Williams , change is needed and absolutely sick and tired of playing guys who just dont perform.

Re: Where to from here?
That's right. Some of us here are not realizing what respect Zimbabwe have left in international cricket after losing to Uganda and failing to qualify for a 20 team event. Zimbabwe are now invisible at international level.sixes fan wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 7:56 pmI spoke of this before and I was called out for it. If the board doesn't wake up now, then it's all over. May be they are just waiting for it to be all over and want to loot whatever is left. Idk.
Pat bee is right in saying Naqvi would be a fool actually to get into this mess, he is better off running away.
