Honestly, I'm most interested in the press conference here. I'm keen to hear the script for why Akram was bought in for Burl. Spoke with a couple of Pakistanis in Harare who talked about big money floating around the Akram family, I'm wondering whether anyone will put a tip in for genuine corruption in his selection.

I didn't hate Gwandu. The wides I think mostly stemmed from the pressure, but I'm happy with them routinely selecting him for the next few series.

Just finished the highlights

A frustrating waste of potentially winning a series

I will come to Wes defence a little. A lot of other batters this series have gone a run a ball. If they are picking Wes. Then why not bowl him.

Gwandu keeps going from strength to strength.

Akarm-done. No excuse for an 11 ball over.

For the one dayers we will need to bat deeper.

The part which hurts the most is that it was an excellent opportunity to win a T20I series against Afghanistan, who are a very good team, but it was wasted due to poor selections. The worst of which came in the last match in the form of Faraz Akram.

Sorry guys, it makes absolutely no sense for me to see a national team consistently play a weakened line up when there are better players in domestic circuit. There is no way I'm interested in Zimbabwe cricket given this situation. It hurts as a fan and I give up on this team. These guys won't change, they won't ever change. It's a waste of time.

I know hindsight is 20:20

If may have been smarter to have one of Williams or Erivine play each series.

Ervine play or be in the squad for the Pakistan series and Williams the same for Afghanistan

The post match press conference was a disgrace from Raza. I'm not buying any of it anymore, especially knowing that he's selecting Akaram based on some form of favouritism.
That was an embarrassing end to an otherwise tight game. Really did showcase his limitations as a bowler and, in all honesty, a cricketer

True, it's been a series which could have been won.
However a win and a tight loss against a very strong team with the world's best spinner is something not to despair.
This time Zimbabwe has proved to be competitive. A year ago couldn't handle Namibia and Uganda.
I'm glad to see a young player such as Bennet to be a valid contributor to the roster.
I'm glad to see that without Williams, Ervine and a poor performing Raza, Zimbabwe can play on par with a strong nation as is Afghanistan T20 squad.
