We need a seaming all-rounder , not three out and out seamers. It's these stupid selections that keep costing us.

The Camper spell has been the difference.

Still not an easy deck to bat on.

Ryan Higgins would fit very nicely...but he's the wrong shade

245 is too few for where we were at but I think we can get something out of this pitch with the ball.

The Irish only managed around this mark on a better wicket on Friday

Can definitely defend this.

If Trevor can get his lines right. We should be fine.

going back to that all rounder chat. Currans brother be another good in but really Ben would have to be able to keep his spot.

Curran is taking some tap on social media, but its not easy opening and the conditions were tough. He wasn't good, but he wasn't bad, but he certainly took some shine off the ball. He's so similar to Joylord in that he's solid against a good bowling attack but can get bogged down, struggles to kick on against good bowling and then resorts to cute shots to keep the scoreboard ticking. He's work in progress and certainly useful.

I promise TC is not a good fit here and Higgins is a better option. Let's see how Evans comes back. He's got a high ceiling but has failed to deliver with the bat with all that talent. He may well get it right. Jongwe may yet surprise us.
Nyamhuri has some potential, but has a long way to go.
Ali Frost can bat and bowl, but his bowling needs work.

As far as Curran goes he's got both Welch's and a couple of others snapping at his heels. There's no difference between opening and 3 in terms of pressure of the new ball. It's not often openers get to the 5th or 10th over.

Also two games in a row where the big 3 have not scored and we have posted a decent total
