Guess who....
It's not who you think it is....
Keep guessing........
One more guess....
It's Vusi Sibanda. http://inhome.rediff.com/cricket/2009/j ... n-list.htm
This time last year I would not have been at all surprised after his ICC World Twenty20 performances, but you'd think this year the likes of Chigumbura, Utseya or Price would be in the auction.

Re: Only 1 Zimbabwean in the IPL auction
I reckon only about a dozen players will be bought this year, so I'm pretty sure that Sibanda won't be, nor would any other Zim players if they were there to be honest...

Re: Only 1 Zimbabwean in the IPL auction
I believe players can be contracted even outside this auction, as Delhi have signed David Warner. I just hope someone signs Chigumbura and Waller. While Chigumbura deserves it, Waller would be the dark horse.aydee wrote:nor would any other Zim players if they were there to be honest...

Only uncapped players can be contracted outside the auction. Warner won his contract before his international debut...

Re: Only 1 Zimbabwean in the IPL auction
To be honest,I am very disappointed with the selection of Zimbabwe's IPL players.
If I was to make a list of Zimbabwe's IPL palyers the name of Vusimuzi Sibanda will come to my mind after the likes of Price and Chigumbura.
Frankly speaking,Raymond Price deserves the IPL selection more than Vusimuzi Sibanda.
But I think IPL authorities selected Vusimuzi Sibanda as he played some aggressive innings in the Twenty-20 World Cup 2007 in South Africa.
But before selecting the IPL players of Zimbabwe, the authorities should have watched the recent performance or the match videos of Zimbabwe's players. But I am sure that they didnt do so as especially a deserve candidate Raymond Price missing out.
Anyways, best of luck to Vusimuzi Sibanda.Hope he will play some aggressive innings in IPL season 2 whenever he gets his chance.

he hasnt been bought yet, with only 16 out of 112 overseas players going to be selected i seriously doubt that he will be pickedDetective RDS wrote:To be honest,I am very disappointed with the selection of Zimbabwe's IPL players.

He is omitted from the new IPL list of 43.

Well,I think it will be an encouragement for him that he was in the list of primary 111 IPL players for selection. If he can perform extra-ordinary,may be in the next year...Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic) wrote:He is omitted from the new IPL list of 43.
