I think that still is from the movie on Bob Blair, where his fiancee dies in the railway accident and he turns up to play against the Saffas. Bob Blair coached Matbeleland in the 90s.

That is absolutely correct. The Tangiwai railway disaster on Christmas Eve 1953 was New Zelands worst railway accident, killing 151 people. The film is called Tangiwai: A Love Story.
