From the interview of Richard Ngarava, it seems that he wants to play FC cricket in Zimbabwe. If he makes himself available then I think he should be immediately picked for the Zim A side.
Re: [Discussion]: Your Zim A side for Sou A & NZ, team build
Why? He is doing woefully in England Club Cricket last tike I checked. Cant bat either.
Re: [Discussion]: Your Zim A side for Sou A & NZ, team build
He's got tremendous potential as a bowler. So far a wasted talent, what's new?
Someone needs to tell him to stop banging it in on those club grounds. If you can't swing the ball or it's not seaming it doesn't matter if you bowl 150, the good batters will destroy you.
I heard a story that Cuthbert Msoko had been sent home after a only a few weeks from his club, does anyone have any information?

Hamstring issue apparently. Dunno how serious as I cant imagine Zim black guys enjoying poms too much. Our whites dont even generally like them. Alot of premature leaving iv heard through the years.

These young hungry black guys should be doing the hard yards in Zimbabwe, not pissing of to play village cricket in England. If they perform poorly in England they are cast aside, if they do well they will be held back from further opportunities due to racism. These guys can learn all they need to know from Mangongo and Utseya.

Flakeman, I think you are massively over generalising re: zimbabwean players as overseas players for UK club sides. Most clubs here are happy to have overseas players from any nation/enthnicity/ culture. What is important is the individual, not where he is from. Most clubs want a good player, and a good person, who fits in with what is mostly, a welcoming environment, where both the club and the player benefits.
Where I currently play in the Thames Valley region there are several black zimbabweans as overseas players and the overwhelming feeling is that they have been great for the local cricket , and that they have enjoyed there time here in return and got something out of it.
If an overseas player f***s off early it's probably more to do with the fact he as an individual is the problem, not his race or nationality. Case in point: Campbell Light ( white Zimbabwean), played for Spalding Town CC , in the Lincolnshire ECB Premier league a few seasons ago. Despite being a good bowler, he was a complete dick, and in the end got released early from his contract. Despite, being paid, accomodation provided etc... I will spare you the details....
As a pom cricketer myself we do not have a problem with any overseas players origins, but more how they conduct themselves once they are here. In the vast majority of cases, the ' overseas player' arrangment works well for both parties.

Well said. It's such a great way of seeing the respective countries and experiencing the cricket and cultures. I'm glad ZC haven't/can't get involved in this. The problem is that one or two rotten eggs can spoil it for everyone else though. There's an ever growing band of South Africans descending upon England, Zimbos tend to get lumped together with them, not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Fair point Robbo, maybe I am over generalizing. But I still think it matters to a degree. Like most English cricketers have a deep dislike of Asians, mainly because theyv emigrated to England in their thousands and if they play for a club, they will generally not get involved in any juniour training, not put any money behind the bar, play cricket and leave. With a guy like Cuthbert Musoko, i feel, as he may be badly injured, would have wanted to leave as he isnt very well spoken and somewhat arrogant. Guys like Cephas Zhuwao, although a loud mouth, is well spoken and interacts with people alot. Despite him lying to his club a few years ago and leaving early...I didnt know about Campbell Light, and yes he is a massive idiot. What was the reasoning behind him going? I am starting to find South Africans who come over increasingly arrogant.
