If you look at the pros and cons, I guess Kirsten, Dravid and Flower would not even consider the job, ZC will reject Streak due to his proximity to Coltart, Hondo has 10 other responsibilities within ZC, Taibu is happy being the convener of selectors, and going back to Mangongo would hurt long time prospects of wooing the diaspora back. Clearly, Anusha Gamage is the front runner and is a safe choice.

Anusha won't take any crap from Makoni either. And we also know Zimbabwe will always bowl first at Queen's Sports Club in Bulawayo with Anusha in charge.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

The problem is: If Anusha get's the job, he won't be allowed to post here any more. And we don't want to loose his input, surely?

I'd go a step further and say that Anusha is the only logical choice.

But he can broker a deal with Makoni and get permissions to post here. So, on the contrary, we'll get better insights from the team management - this being Anusha's primary channel of communication...

If there was a change at government level ZC would be shivering in their boots. Coltart would descend upon them like a wolf on the fold. That paper shredder would be in turbo mode. I think we'd even see a mysterious fire.

watermelon here,

I am really more of a business man, what with my trading of african antiquities to asia, but I think I might put my name in the ring also. If a curry like Anusha can apply, no reason the watermelon can't either.
