Re: BREAKING: New ZC Board Chairman
Too good a jobI thought he was doing a great job .....
So.... start picking another national team to support?
Are these guys politicians with no history of cricket?
Vumi Moyo is on the ZC Board and also a ZC employee-- the constitution says he has to be one or the other. Will he resign from his day job or resign from the ZC board since he has voted. ?
Were the provinces all paid up members of ZC otherwise they cannot vote?
What will happen next?
Come back next week for episode two off whothehellknows.

Re: BREAKING: New ZC Board Chairman
So on the morning of the election this guy turns up and says "Hey guys, can I play?"....and then wins? Something fishy about this...Mukuhlani then announced his candidature on the morning of the election.

Re: BREAKING: New ZC Board Chairman
That meeting.Mukuhlani was ousted by Mashonaland's clubs at the end of last year after they claimed he did not represent their growing disenchantment with ZC. He was seen by many as being too closely linked to the board. In June 2004 he was embroiled in a row after hijacking the AGM of the Matabeleland Cricket Association.
Mukuhlani was a key figure during local cricket’s demise when he held various positions in ZC and MCA between 2004 and 2009.
A key ally of former ZC general manager Ozias Bvute, Mukuhlani now replaces Wilson Manase, who was interim chairman since Peter Chingoka’s resignation in July 2014.
Manase reduced ZC debt from $22m to $7m!Because they are trying to bring in people like Temba Mliswa and Tavengwa Mukuhlani onto the board, and we all understand that they are wrong for Zimbabwe Cricket. They are also other aspects that people will get to understand when they are exposed.” Taibu.
By all accounts the new people in charge have won a victory for corruption and racism. Cricket has lost.
But we all live in hope that people have changed and that the allegations against them may be untrue?!
Time will tell...
P.S at least ZCFOutkast is happy in his ignorant colour blind way

It's all just smoke and mirrors. These guys will never relinquish power nor leaving their re-election to chance.

Re: BREAKING: New ZC Board Chairman
The new ZC chairman is saying all the right things: http://www.chronicle.co.zw/mukuhlani-wa ... -new-leaf/
"We are a new administration, chosen for our strategic vision and principles. We will continue with what works, we will discontinue what has proven to be a failure. ...
"We will put cricket first. The beginning is development. We will work on the grassroots, age groups up to under 19s, clubs and provincial structures so that we have a continuous feed though to the senior national teams."
Re: BREAKING: New ZC Board Chairman
My view of that press conference.
- Focus on grassroots and developing the game. Fantastic. To what extent though.
- Racism will not be tolerated. Great, but does this mean that it will only apply when Black players are not getting picked?
- No ones job is safe. If you under perform you will be gone. Dav, Alistair watch your backs
- The current focus on bringing the income. No real strategy laid out. They seem to assume that people will just want to play Zim and bring in loads of money with them.
This man does not fill me with confidence. He seems to be very much an Ozias, Prosper, and Steven man. I expect a very very uncomfortable few years ahead. I am happy to be proven wrong.
