And thats the end of Dabengwa's stay: 9(24). 21/3 now.

Hey, you know what? We might end up not giving too many wickets to Razzak according to the game plan, we might not have too many left by the time he comes on to bowl :(

King Dabengwa departs at a SR of 37. Chibhabha or Butterworth or Meth would have played with a better SR

personally, as this is the last game for us before WC, i want to see ZIM bundled under 50 and a 9 wicket win if we bowl first.
personally, as this is the last game for us before WC, i want to see the overhyped Bangladesh bundled out for lowest ever score in ODI and as we are batting first a score of over 250
overhyped by whom? we beat NZ who lost to a 2nd string India side 5-0, when even their first string bowling attack is mediocre on a good day. if you recall, 2nd string India got thrashed by zimbabwe last summer in the tri series. so we've beaten teams we should beat.

we've got a lot of issues to work on before the world cup, and i doubt if we'll be able to address them all. unable to consistently milk the spinners during the middle overs is poor. granted, zimbabwe spin attack is probably the 2nd best ODI spin corps after ours, but still.

batting in the powerplay has been poor. batting in general has been poor, will give tamim a pass since he's been robbed twice by the umps and is coming back from injury. but his dismissal in the 2nd game was one which he should have kept in check.

the pacers seem to be hitting their lines now, but first 2 games only had 1 wicket between them.

having said that, i expect to be in the quarterfinal stage of the world cup, frankly, i'm sure most pundits will at this stage bank on that as well. England, South Africa, and West Indies all have well known vulnerablities to spin, and our SLA trio can choke most anyone to death. The India match will be the biggie, and its a match that India can lose simply because we'll be fool of adrenaline and India might be a bit nervy given recent history.

Zimbabwe too has an excellent shot at reaching the QF stages. I expect them to have their moments against Australia but Pakistan are notorious minnow bashers, and Sri Lanka are lethal in subcontinent conditions. But the New Zealand match is the winnable one. NZ struggle mightily against quality spin, and Price/Utseya/Cremer should have no problems keeping them quiet. If Mpofu and his oepning partner take out McCullum and Ryder out early, the ZIMs will have every shot at the QF stage. Kenya, Canada, and Scotland should not pose any problems.

Surely this is the end of Dabengwa's international career.

This is embarrasing. 17.3 overrs and still no boundaries! Is that a record I wonder?

And if the match is played we are sadly going to see the same zim story..

Losing after winning the opening match
Failing to the spinners
Same old selection dilemma and playing the clowns
All the members of the team not performing simultaneously
Throwing wickets away
Digging a hole by playing out the spinners defensively
Getting smacked at the death overs
Collapses
Conversions issues - Not converting starts into big runs
Poor team management - Not knowing who should bat at what position and not clear about the strategy
Rush of blood

The team looks clearly clueless and they don't know what they want to do..This has been the problem of zim
cricket for years and i don't see them improving - sadly..

I echo those sentiments..we stagnant it seems..

I believe you can only say learning has taken place if there is a change in behavior alas it seems we are in a never ending cycle where we follow the above script
