I have been quietly impressed with this bunch.
The Blignaut twins are clearly two lads to watch. Michael looks to have more stroke play and naturally aggressive.
Marudzi looks to be an excellent wicket keeping prospect too. Looks sharp with the gloves and the bat too.
Senzere I like the look of too, and the opener Chwaula looked unreal at times today for that 77. We get these names and these performances, but how many times do we see them continue into FC cricket
I remember O'Keefe, Bawa, Harrison, Snyder, Murray, Sly, Roche and many more scoring runs and taking wickets like this...yet they weren't looked after.

“Looked after” is only part of it.sloandog wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 10:06 pmI have been quietly impressed with this bunch.

Very often, then just aren’t that interested in being a pro cricketer in Zim. The lure of going Uni overseas is more attractive, and a lifestyle that normally runs at cross purposes to being a pro athlete.

Admittedly ZC plays it's part of fucking everyone over except the generational talents obviously but this whole trend of U19s who never progress will always happen. Some use it to find better prospects overseas some to get into college. None of these youngster really want to stay in this shit show Zimbabwean economy.
Many will leave to try out other opportunities out there. Its only if those don't come through we have them coming back to try and play again chase point being Matigimu, Nick Welch,
Taibu was really onto something with that Rasing Stars programme until ZC did what ZC does best.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
