Yes, County ain’t great. There has been some truly average players for England over the years and if this guy has never had a look in I don’t think he’s head and shoulders above our guys. Above yes, but not by much.
This is why I want Cartwright. He’s a mainstay for WA and by that fact alone he WILL be an asset. Not one county team would hold a candle to the 6 Sheffield shield sides. County is more on par with Sydney grade firsts.
Exactly this. Mitchell Marsh isn't even the best Western Australian allrounder and has been a mainstay of the test team for years.
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

still got to believe

But shows the importance of catches.

I know we want to give blokes an extended run but we really are shooting ourselfs in the foot by not rotating players.

I mean a bloke can be managed. Expecting the young ones in particular to make adjustments as they are learning is a big ask.

Anyone who thinks Higgins would not be an upgrade on our current set up is kidding themselves.

Cartwright would be a dream, but he is not coming back.

I don't think that his bowling will look overly threatening without English pitches and a Duke ball, but will still be solid. His batting could be very destructive. Look at what he has achieved in English cricket compared to what people like Nick Welch and Naqvi achieved. Night and day.

Doors are opening for Gwandu, Musekiwa and Nyamhuri without them doing anything special..
Lets hope the selectors notice him..

Interesting. So, is Higgins actually eligible to play for Zimbabwe right now? That would be very interesting.
As I say, Higgins is a seriously good player.

I would say his eligible for just being born in Zim.

That interview sounded very positive.

Considering 3MOB are meant to be a premier media organisation, they are quite shit house. The audio quality kept changing throughout that interview. There was way too much background noise. The questions asked are also very basic.
