I think ZCF should be backing one of its own in STONEMAN's case.

In Renshaw's case, he completely lost form at domestic level, think his highest Shield score before the Ashes was 18 or something like that. He is certainly talented enough to make his way back, no doubt about that.

Murray is hands down our best keeper standing up to the stumps. For me that’s critical in spin friendly conditions. I’m not sure about him as a batsman yet though. Of course he’s go the potential to be good, but it’s a big ask.
Once again this guy sometimes didn’t keep because the underqualified junior coaches thought he was too tall and perhaps not good enough, but now he’s knocking on the door. Surely they need to be asked if they know anything at all? They need to sack them forthwith because they’ve been f@*%ing it up for many years.

At this point ZC should be finalizing on the team for the qualifiers. In as much as these youngsters may be good, we really should be going by players we know and seeing what kind of form they are in. We can always use Taylor to keep till the qualifiers as a stop gap. Streak and Taibu seem to be pulling out the big cards. Hope they justify their chooses if it all goes down south. Come to think of it Taibu just went quite after the 4 day test. Typical.

A clear headed Williams firing on all cylinders is a must. I’d love to know the issues.

Does anyone really think Williams is going to step-up with the bat in the high-pressure qualifiers? He is more likely to score a century in a dead-rubber once we are already eliminated from contention.
Had to look at the user name three times. Does sound a lot like hhm. Williams will grind out a useful 20/30 runs on any given day and usually gives a few decent overs too. Such a player is priceless to a Zim lineup. Hoping he links up with the team for the UAE tour.

Couldn't have worded that better myself!
Sean Williams is hands down one of our best ODI cricketers and should be the first name on the sheet. He's too good to drop.
The inclusion of Mpofu needs addressing fast! If Sean Williams can be excluded then this guy shouldn't be anywhere near the side

That's the other extreme. No way he is the first name on the team sheet in any format given his performances in the last 2 years, averaging 20 with the bat.

Vusi and Elton got dropped for similar showings. Hamilton got dropped multiple times with better averages to show. Williams can almost get into the XI as a bowler but that is not his original role. He is a batsman first whose bowling exploits are a bonus, not the other way round. I do agree with eugene - is anyone convinced that we will ever see a match defining knock from Williams? Surely, we can't be happy with constant 20s and 30s?

Just a reminder - he has just two 50+ scores in ODIs in the last 24 months.

For me, Williams is still a squad member, but not necessarily a definite starter. Can't complain if he was dropped too. But why he is out of the actual squad is still a mystery though.

The Zimbabwe squad failed to travel to Bangladesh as per their original schedule and as of yesterday authorities were still running around to secure tickets for the trip.

By evening yesterday expectation was that the team would travel today although flight arrangements had not been finalised
Anyone with any update if the team has finally travelled.
