Holy shit, this is sad. A ban of 8 years, could this be the longest one ever handed out by the ICC? A massive loss for the youngsters in the academy, a legacy ruined, and disaster for a lot of us who grew up watching him - childhood memories soured.

There's been plenty of life bans before. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_c ... corruption - although that isn't a complete list. There was a few Hong Kong players banned for life a couple of years ago too, for example.

This is inexcusable behaviour by streak. Yes it doesn't reflect too bad on Zimbabwe as while as Zimdoggy says but listening to cremers interview and other info the players are fully aware of the rules

I don't think the academy will be impacted esp if it doesn't come under the purview of ICC or ZC. Heath cannot be stopped from running an academy to earn a living. I think that's absolutely fine.
