45.4 Dabengwa to Thushara, SIX, that's two in two, Dabengwa fires it on off and middle and leg and Thushara is more in control of the slog this time as he heaves it over deep midwicket
45.3 Dabengwa to Thushara, SIX, Thushara goes for the slog and he clears the rope, he fetches it from outside off and heaves it over cow corner
Ah, there's the Dabengwa we love to hate :|

Time to bring Chigumbura back IMO, with Rainsford to continue at the other end.

Strange that Mupariwa brought back into the attack. Maybe Utseya wanted to take pace off the ball, or have Taibu stand up to stop the batsmen advancing.

good efoort by the zim bowlers in the end rainsford bowled exceptional it would of still been better if could of restricted sri lanka to 10 or 20 less runs but a still think our batter can chase down this target

Yeah, psychologically it would have been great if we could have restricted them to less than 200. But our batsmen are definitely capable of chasing 211, I think the top order is the key. Masakadza and Sibanda have to score runs off the seam bowlers, we don't want to be in the position of having to take risks against Mendis or Murali.

This is a real shame. But we can take something out of our bowling performance... can you imagine Kenya or Ireland restricting Sri Lanka to 210?

What we've proven - helped by the win against Bangladesh - is that we deserve our place at this level (albeit if we still have a lot of room for improvement). Our bowling seems to be in pretty good shape, but there are a few problems with our batting. Sean Williams poor form is one problem, he is worth 50 or more runs on his day. We also need the top order to fire, if we can have an opening partnership worth 50 or 60 runs then it makes it so much easier for the rest of the batsmen. Maybe switching the positions of Taibu and Sibanda is worth a shot.

At 5/53 right now, I think the aim should be to get to triple figures. We can't win, but we want to make the score look half way respectable.
