In all the years we have watched this team I can tell you 4-1 is a good result. It has gone as expected.

At least all the Zindians in the crowd are happy.

We won't see them again until next time India are here in a few years.

Chairman of selectors is Mutendira, has been for years. It's a mystery right up there with the Lochness Monster. If you want an outside guy pick someone who knows something about cricket. Why not Houghton or even Alistair Campbell? Someone who has played at the highest level with distinction and knows what's required. It's just weird, embarrassing, disheartening, inexplicable.

Not sure the VC today? Ordinarily probably Wellie.
Today no idea. Good question.

Faraz Akram will soon be our very own tiripano type pick. Someone who was meant to be a bowler but ends up playing face saving back end innings

Burl would actually be a good captain. He knows the game. Not sold on Raza as captain.

Of course u have to be in the team to captain.
Raza shoots from the hip and gets it wrong sometimes. They'll groom Myers.
Need to groom him to play a few shots first.

Face saving innings buys you years here. Anything to get within 50 runs

We need to seriously look at players like Musikewa and give them plenty of short form matches against strong opposition. Send an A side to Nepal or something like a few years ago. He would be my first pick in an A side 20/20 series.

Matigimu could be a very good third seamer for Zim. Campbell had a dreadful series. I guess Burl should come back in before the years end.

Welch needs an extended run up top but I can't really think of too many changes to squad.

Blaming selection still feels like an easy cop-out. It's a weak excuse.

Ya, a few changes here or there would have hopefully done a bit better. I'm sure Burl would have got greater returns in this series than Campbell, for example.

But realistically a few tweaks to the starting line up wouldn't have won us any more games this week. The problems as ever are much deeper and much bigger. Selection is shit yes, but perfect selection still wouldn't make us word-beaters.

Musekiwa is not a 1-7 batsman at international level.
Never will be.
Good player and all but you can give him whatever opportunities you like and international batting is above his paygrade.
He had a great innings in Ghana and its a red herring. He's a decent player and hits a long ball and I enjoy watching him but he won't make the grade as a batsman at this level. Take poison on it, bud.

But we will get to see him. They'll try him soon enuf.
I can list the players they'll waste valuable time on.

Well if you don't select properly you reduce our chances of the odd win from slim to practically zero so its entirely important.

Not yet but he is only young. Was thinking more as a number 7 kinda like a chigumbura role. Let's see
