Glad they pulled through, this is a proper strong Afghan side that we've beaten. Hope we can squeeze one more win and take the series :D

I am sick to death of the same names failing every single time and having no accountability for their place. If Burl gets dropped, so should Madhevere and Marumani. You've god blokes banging out half centuries and centuries domestically
Agreed.

He just manages to find a way to score runs. He could have easily given his wicket away (almost did) early on, but he made a good point in the post match interview that you always have more time than you think in T20 cricket.

Nice to see Myers and Bennett developing a partnership, they are not miles apart in the way that they play. More streetwise than the likes of Shumba, Wes and Marumani.

We got a bit lucky in the customary low total thriller.
But certainly a good way to start. Naveem's over probably was the difference, but hard to say because he bought Raza's wicket essentially for 19 runs.
They'll go about their batting in the first 6 overs a bit differently as well. I think they misread the pitch initially and we bowled brilliantly and they kept trying to go too hard. Surprised the batters didn't dial it back after seeing the first over.
I'm surprised they elected to bat first as well.

We need the curator to prepare similar pitches that result in a 140 type total. We DO NOT want a belter! Its absolutely crucial not to play on a good deck. Im sure we will struggle trying to go above 7's for an extended period. I really don't think these Afghans did their homework. They might go in with one more spinner next game. Noor Ahmed isn't even in that T20 squad? He's a better bowler than Rashid, I think he's over the hill at 26 or whatever age he claims

Blessing and Richie are world class when they're landing them. Today was superb.

Last two wins over higher ranked opponents will boost Zimbabwe's T20I ranking points.

Although it doesn't matter atm and they have to go through the qualifiers, it still is important in the greater scheme of things.
