Just watched the highlights. Nice to get a last ball win, but we did our very best to throw it. Why are we still playing school boy swing and hope shots? That was how Myers went out, how Bennet went out, how Burl went out. We really need to work on technique and form. If we do that, then our batters would instantly improve.
Can't believe we still play some of the shots we do. When they swing wild, their shape is all out of whack.

The guy works for ZC and seems to have significant influence and reflects a lot of the opinions his cousin has and other ZC employees. I think it’s reasonable to discuss him. The sad thing is he isn’t ’just Trolling’ as has been suggested.
On the flip side, ZCF is very much living in his head too. He’s mentioned us twice in as many weeks

The Myers dismissal was very good bowling from Nabi to be fair, held it back and did Myers in the flight completely.zimbos_05 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 9:12 amJust watched the highlights. ZCF has been around for a while now. We have seen the Manases, Chingokas, Bvutes, come and go. I reckon when the current bunch go too ZCF will still remain. All these guys just milking the cow whilst they still can sad that the get onto our feelings and love for the game whilst doing so. Its all part of whats embedded into the Zimbabwean culture now. Sad at is maybe. Just long for the day when someone who has half a cricketing brain to take over.

Its now a pattern that Zimbabwe always seem to do well in the first game of the series when the touring team is still has jet leg or such. Is it a question of not having warm up games as in the olden days. Afghanistan will be around for a full tour. Who organises such?

Went the lazy route and asked gpt:
Here are some notable first wins by the Zimbabwe cricket team in the last 10 years:
Zimbabwe vs. Afghanistan: On December 11, 2024, Zimbabwe won the first T20I against Afghanistan by 4 wickets1.
Zimbabwe vs. Pakistan: On December 5, 2024, Zimbabwe won the first T20I against Pakistan by 2 wickets1.
Zimbabwe vs. Bangladesh: In July 2022, Zimbabwe won the first T20I match against Bangladesh by 17 runs2.
Zimbabwe vs. Pakistan: In April 2021, Zimbabwe won the first T20I against Pakistan by 19 runs3.
Zimbabwe vs. Sri Lanka: In October 2017, Zimbabwe won the first ODI against Sri Lanka by 6 wickets.
It happens but not that often as we always get white washed
The higher you go the cooler it becomes.

Yes but everything, no matter what the topic is, everything comes back to what Zolsky thinks. Giving him a big platform.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 9:23 amThe guy works for ZC and seems to have significant influence and reflects a lot of the opinions his cousin has and other ZC employees. I dont mind it, and I love the juice of it, and the ongoing war with ZimDan is gold, it is just an observation.

I think the last time we beat them in a T20 was Hamilton's last game when he went ballistic at the beginning. Thay was a good way to sign out. I wish the big 3 retire in that fashion
Good win. Made it tougher than it should have been but any result which doesn't include a major contribution by Raza in this format is a big win. That's how they learn to do it without him
