Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
374. Indicative of pre-independence time migrations, who is this Rhodesia born man who played first class cricket in England and is now spending quite a bit of time in India?

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
I'm only guessing here: When you say he played FC in England I assume he did not play for a County but maybe for, say, Oxford or Cambridge (?). Now there are a few Rhodesians who played for and even captained Oxford, but not too many who are young enough to be the man in the picture. So I'll take a plunge: Peter Jones (born 1948)

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
David Curtis?
Peterhouse U14C 4th change bowler and no. 10 batsman (but only because Aaron didn't have a bat).

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
Absolutely!
I only stumbled across him because he also played FC cricket for Oxford, just like #374. But I reckon to real Zimbos the story how he scored his only international try for Ireland against Zimbabwe in the 1991 World Cup is nothing new.
At cricket he was good enough to represent Young Zimbabwe in two matches against the touring Young West Indians in the early eighties, one of the first international sides to tour Zim after independence. There were a few useful players among those Young Zimbabweans: Hick, Houghton, Curran, Butchart, Jarvis ... and Curtis lost his wicket twice to another not too shabby player: Courtney Walsh.
