
Age group trials used to drag on with 100's of kids, half of whom had never seen a cricket bat before as a means of eking out some cash.
It's not funny really. It's a desperate situation we find ourselves in.

But other than the names above I'm not sure anyone else is worth investing in at this level/time. Honestly why are we 'trialling' dozens of guys in their mid 20's? Our selectors really should have an idea already of who's on the radar and who isn't, considering most have played several years of domestic or club or NPL already.
Even the squad above would most likely struggle against decent pro opposition but at least they are worth persevering with and they might learn and have some capacity to improve.
