This game has worked out in our favour, and now we know Scotland are very beatable so winning 2 games is very achievable

It is better for Zimbabwe, if Sri Lanka wins. So I'm not taking any chances here. I'll back Sri Lanka.
Yeah, the other posters are not particularly the sharpest knives in the drawer...
I knew full well. And still actively wanted Scotland win. So up yours etc

Or perhaps they see the bigger picture of the development of the World Game? Only way the ICC will sit up and take note is if the status quo is disrupted.
It won't matter mate. It just won't. If ICC were really supposed to take note I wouldn't imagine a former wc semi finalist being in the absolute dungeons of cricket
If ICC was really paying attention the development in teams like scotland netherlands would've been noticed long back.
Top Post. It's not that the ICC can't see, it is that they just want to be blind.

To be honest I don't see Zimbabwe facing much of a challenge against Scotland. Should be able to beat them easily. My only concern is that their nerves shouldn't get the better of them like that UAE game. I mean Zim would have beaten UAE 9/10 even at that time, but that 1/10 happened that very day, it's all about nerves.

Ability wise, Zimbabwe are crushing Scotland.

This is where Mavuta would have been invaluable. He gives the ball a chance to turn and rip and you can't help but feel against the associates, he'd be more lethal than say Welly.
Yeah this is why I wanted him in the squad,

It’s going to be a different game when we move to Bulawayo, the fact Zimbabwe hasn’t played an ODI there in over 5-years is a bit concerning.

So am I right that the best thing for us would be mathematically West Indies beat Scotland in a tight game, meaning that WI NRR doesnt improve by much.

But also realistically, West Indies thumping Scotland would knock their kilts off, meaning they arent strong enough to compete against Zim?

I'd say there's a comfortable Windies win in between where Scotland's NRR is harmed enough and Windies's isn't improved enough to help them.
