I disagree. The standard of actual cricket on display has been pretty good on the whole. Have you watched any of it?

Did Cartwright pull out of the tournament?
I think so. Maybe an injury or something?

It’s a shame they haven’t been more transparent with squad changes .

I see the small handful of Pakistanis who had visa issues have now finally arrived.

It can be both. It is hit and giggle really, a game 10 overs long is nothing but.

However, that 130 yesterday was at the bottom end of what can be a reasonable t20 score if we’re honest and to see it chased was great cricket. Might have even been a few more than we defended against PK at the World Cup, so yeah, serious hitting.

Raza striking at over 300 under our own lights at HSC was a sight to behold. It’s given a little taste of what could be. The board should persist with this and make the necessary improvements to the infrastructure so they’re a permanent fixture and night games become regular. 10,000 would definitely turn up to watch the national side at night.

Which Zim players do you think have been decent so far? Marumani the obvious pick. I think Wellington has done OK too. The fast bowlers are getting smacked everywhere but Evans did get a Man of The Match. Still nothing from Cephas and Maruma  Blessing has been lowkey again

That Azmat and Amir for Qalanders were dishing up some boundary balls in the last two overs, they could have made it a little less obvious.

Sean Williams is struggling big time . Even more than ervine. and as I say he drops a catch when the batting side needed 2 off 2 balls in super over. Really sad to see my favorite zimbabwean player currently struggling so much

Apart from Raza the Zim batters have mostly struggled.
NW must be disappointed, he's not getting any opportunity and a lot of people want to watch him bat. He's not going to waste too many dot balls, he rotates well and can clout it a mile so he's not going to hold the team's progress up. His team look a bit iffy in the batting dept unless Siefert comes off, which he seems to every time. Great player. Fletcher has not done well and his six or nix approach is a recipe for dots.
Even in T10 you have to rotate strike, you have to hold your shape and not over hit. You still have to have your scoring areas. It's way less forgiving than T20.
You have to score off the powerplay or its almost game over before you've started, unless you've got Donovan Ferreira in your team. The guys making runs actually think it thru most of the time.
They keep persevering with Milton up front and he's at sea.
The guys that can pull a ball that's not quite there to pull do consistently well.

Our bowlers have not excelled themselves. I've seen so many seamers spoil a decent over by bowling a bouncer or short ball that just gets carted. Back of a length keeps most guys quiet and very few seem able to execute a yorker.

I really hope our lads learn fast from being in this, there has been some outstanding cricket.

Williams just drops the match. Eeish. Horrible high ball under the lights. That must have hurt.
