Rainbow being well beaten by SOGO D team.
It's going to be very revealing which black players play for them this season.
I see Falao was pressurised into throwing in the towel.
Already the stories have started-
Do you want to be the token black boy for the Rhodesians?
Living with a chip that large can't be easy.
They're working on Maru Snr atm-
How can any international opening batsman bat at 8 in a club team?
I can answer that- he was away in England and only turned out a handful of times. SOGO did their best to be loyal to the guys that did well for them in the absence of the Big Guns, so Schadendorf and Basson mostly remained where they were, but Basson eventually had to sit out.
I'm guessing these will be the white guys available at some point-
BT, Ervine, Williams, Welchx2, Ballance, Burl, Schadendorf, Campbellx2, Evans.
I mean how do you pick a batting line up?

This SOGO side will be tough to make if everyone is available.
Now throw in Myers and Marumani and you're going to have to sit out a quite a few international batsmen from a club side  You've got to pick 9 batters from 13 excellent players.
You can't leave out Schadendorf from T20, he's a better striker than most of them. Same story in reverse- he can't make a franchise side but can displace a white international batsman from his club side. Tough to put a racial slant on that. No embarrassment at killing a potential career either. Zero. JT had huge potential as a T20 player. We're dealing with nasty people.
I'm hearing Ngarava may turn out for SOGO. He's beyond being arm twisted with tales of Chimurengas.

You could split Rangers down the middle and have two very strong teams. It would be a double glove slap for Takashinga and their 3 teams. The irony of that would go sailing over their heads at 243kph.

They will lose some players, Campbell Jr , Evans and Mike Frost are off to the UK, also have the Scotland tour coming in and the English and Bangladesh tour going out.

Most important thing for Rangers is to get their 2nd team promoted when that league starts.

Needle in club cricket is exactly what our game needs, Rangers are a disrupter to the status quo. Yes it will get ugly but that only will make club cricket more relevant. Would be nice if it was not due to race but so be it.

Their 2s missed out this season.

I reckon that means that they can't be in the first division until 2027 (assuming they even manage to win it in 2025/26 anyway).

Takashinga played with 8 players. How is it allowed in a league?
Why wouldn't it be allowed? Not against the laws of the game. I'm sure they would have much rather it was postponed than they got hammered by 200 runs!
The biggest most successful club in the country, directly funded to the tune of millions by ZC and the ICC over the past twenty-five years, to the severe detriment of every other club, can’t find more than 8 players for the first game of the season?

Absolutely embarrassing beyond belief. They should be ashamed, but of course they don’t care.

You’d get any random 3 guys to make a full XI wouldn’t you

Zolsky, Larry K, emmerson mnangagwa  3 random blokes from the crowd who’d had a few beers. Literally anyone who could hold a bat.  it’s not like it’s Logan cup, pro50 or even NPL.

Thing is though they named 11 guys at the toss, so what happened to them.

They got battered by 200 runs. I'd have thought they're pretty embarrassed.

I see Bennett's younger brother Sean made some runs for SOGO today. Their D team sogolized a strong Gladiators team.
I see Maru has actually turned out for them, and Dion is also signed up. Huge respect lads!! I doff my cap to you both.
95% of everybody are sick and tired of this black white nonsense. I'm so hoping Richie has jumped the fence as well.

Urban Dictionary
SOGOLIZED past participle of the verb to sogolize. To be arse fucked, but more painful.

Doubt they care. It's not the Takashinga of old, which was full of very proud people who hated losing and were determined to build the club up.

They'll still get 95% of the HMCA budget handed to them this season regardless.

Selectors in their wisdom didn't think Sean Bennett was worthy of the final 16 for the last u19 world cup.
