Bangladesh Squad for 1st Test: Nazmul, Shadman, Mahmudul, Zakir, Mominul, Mushfiqur, Mahidul, Jaker, Miraz, Taijul, Nayeem, Nahid, Tanzim, Khaled, Mahmud.
Taskin is out of the series due to injury. Litton was given leave for PSL, Nahid will go for PSL after 1st Test.

Based on this squad, should we be expecting a green top in the 1st Test? Some good fast bowlers in that line up.saifulsohel05 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 5:21 pmBangladesh Squad for 1st Test: Nazmul, Shadman, Mahmudul, Zakir, Mominul, Mushfiqur, Mahidul, Jaker, Miraz, Taijul, Nayeem, Nahid, Tanzim, Khaled, Mahmud.

Not sure. Traditionally Zim batters fail on spin tracks. Plus Zim spin attack is not threatening. Loss of Taskin is a big blow for BD pace attack. I think BD team management may lean into spin friendly wicket. But the venues of this test series are sporting in nature. So even if BD opt for spin friendly wicket, those Will not be rank turners. Having experienced and young talented batters in the side, if Zim can bat well, we may see an exciting test series.

I love this new kid Nahid. What a serious serious prospect he is. Literally averaged 90mph in his last 4 test matches in the subcontinent, matched only I believe by Mark Wood. A legitimate express bowler. It'll be exciting to see Ben Curran against him. I've a feeling that mid wicket pull is going to be a real weapon against that kind of pace and bounce; he really hits down on the ball..and hard!

Ben Curran
Nick Welch
Craig Ervine
Brian Bennett
Sean Williams
Wez Madhevere
Jono Campbell
Tsiga
Blessing Muzarabani
Richard Ngarava
Victor Nayauchi
There's enough spin options in Bennett, Wez, Williams and Campbell. I like Wellington but he's no better a spinner than any of the above and doesn't warrant a spot soley as a batter.
In those three seamers there's some potency on a green seamer. We also bat deep in this line up.
Wishful thinking, I know
