Richard Ngarava (the u19 pace bowler) seems to be foing absolutely hopelessly for his club Scarborough CC.

Has taken 2 or 3 wickets in 4 or 5 games and has been expensive. Bats 11 too. ..

Meanwhile Jarvis just rips 6 for 70 against Surrey and BT continues his struggles this season...he is no longer opening but at his natural #4 position now. I wonder if BT might come back if he continues to struggle or if he might not get his contract renewed given his age in 2017-18.

Any word on how Byrom is doing? Has he made the jump up to 1st XIs...cuz he was killing it at 2nd XIs last season. And where is Welch...shouldn't he have been right there with Byrom by now?

Sam Curran it appears has been dropped as he hasn't played in a while. or is he injured? Tom is there, but no signs of Sam.

Sam is taking his A-levels!

Byrom and Welch are nowhere near county 1st XI's. They're not even contracted.

Jarvis has actually scored more runs in the county championship than BT so far this season...

Sam Curran did play in the T20 at the weekend.

Jarvis always looked like a proper FC and Test bowler, right from the start. It's such a shame we played so few Test when he was still around (albeit more than we have played since), and the lingering memory seems to be that of Jarvis the limited limited-overs bowler. It will be interesting to see if Lancs are going to use him more in white-ball cricket this summer.

Jarvis has another 5-fer in the second innings, and Tom Curran is fighting hard to carry his bat after an emergency promotion to open, currently 39* with Surrey 8 wickets down. It's Zimbo vs Zimbo.

Does Tom count? Born SA, schooled SA and Eng. Never (as far as I'm aware) represented Zim's junior sides. Sure, he'd be eligible for Zim if he wanted to be, but all of his cricket development seems to have taken place elsewhere. Unlike his little bro, of course.
