Interesting stat:
Bangladesh have only crossed 300 twice against ZIM...both times in Bulawayo on the 2009 tour.

So far, I want to say that Cremer's field placings have been superb. They haven't been orthodox placings especially that period when Shakib and Tamim got strangled resulting in Shakib's dismissal. There have been enough bad balls - particularly from Waller - for us to have another 20 runs. But the ball has found the fielders due to them being in exactly the right spot.

I remember a Test series in SL years ago with Murali at the height of his powers. With every other batman around him looking clueless, Brian Lara just played him in the V, and played him in the V, and played him in the V some more, and finished with a ridiculous average.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 7:57 amNotice how many times they've swept in 20 odd overs of spin. Thats the key.
Sanga and Jayawardena were probably the best duo when it comes to middle overs batting against spin that I have seen. But Mushfiq and Tamin are pretty good as well. I'm not watching right now but especially with Mushfiq he always gives me the impression that he has at least a meter more depth at the crease to work with than others--or is only because he's small?

Cremer is going to be the key here I think.
Either by keeping it tight or taking a couple of quick wickets. I can't see him getting tonked for many.
And as I write...

Musht is 5'3" - probably the joint shortest international cricketer along with Mominul. That is part of it, but he also does love to play the cut shot and will get far back into the crease to shorten the length - which is already shorter because he himself is so short.foreignfield wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 8:13 am

Cremer is going to be crucial in the WCQ’s. He’s our most important player now.

There's his third! Another googly! Cremer gets Tamim!
