It's surprising to see Myers struggling ..I thought he is even better than madhevere and matches one of our big 4s
Eventually pressure gets to every man. It is vey different walking in at 92/2 after 10. He is still young coming in at 19/2 after 5 overs with bowlers under no pressure.
Plus unfamiliar conditions, with a very poor coach, and also surrounded by other similarly inexperienced batsmen.

He has the talent, just like Maru and Wes and Shumba. But unfortunately they are being let down by this absurd selection 'strategy' and poor coaching.

Agreed or probably he is also a longer format batsman like shumba who needs time to settle ..but this clearly shows we need the big 4

What I find interesting is that Hamilton Masakadza thinks they will never fire him. He is in for the shock of his life if this continues. This is not a playground where you experiment with crazy ideas. Nobody here thought Mangongo would be fired a few years ago but where is he now? He is playing with whatever post retirement life he imagined for himself.

There is a difference when a youngster plays with experienced players in the side, he plays with a lot of freedom. Gains confidence. That is how good careers are made. Not like you throw in some young players into extreme pressure situations and ask them to perform or perish.

You look at Hashim Amla, how he got groomed as a cricketer, the talent was always there but he played with so much freedom with Smith, Kallis and AB around. Same for JP Duminy. Take Joe Root, he played with Cook, KP, Bell around, played with so much freedom and eventually evolved into a great cricketer.

These people have just destroyed Zimbabwe cricket.

Honestly think Masakadza has done a lot of good stuff off-the-field this year, in terms of fixtures and sorting out some of the schools from what I've heard. Hasn't been easy as I hear finances aren't that rosy at the moment.

I suppose we don't really know whose idea these selections are. Is it a dictat from Hammy? Is it the selectors? Is it Rajput's idea? Hard to know who to blame for it really.

At least he isn't renewing Rajput's contract. Hopefully he picks a good replacement now.

This experiment should have been vs Scotland not a rival like Ireland.

Will they last a hundred balls? Yesterday they could only manage 110 balls.

Rajput is a foreigner. There is 100% no way he decided to drop all the senior players by himself. That is not possible. Ireland is a direct rival. We shouldn't be comfortable losing even 1 game to them.

Not that I don't agree with you in terms of the good he has done but what I can tell you is that Hami is the perfect scapegoat for this mess. Wait and see

He may well be. Hammy might not be capable and might not be good enough in the end. But what I will say is that I think he genuinely cares about the sport and the team. I think he's tried to do his best. Thats more than a lot of people running cricket in Zim tbh. So it's a shame if it doesn't work out for him.
