In my culture, you do not answer to an elder, even though he may be wrong. You tuck your tails between your legs and look for appropriate recourse, at an appropriate time.
Hahahahahaha oh my Conant, you just described the problem with the players, village mentality, afraid to dare challenge their errant coach, how do you expect them to challenge another cricket team??Capitulate if the bowler is older than the Zim batsman? Hahahaha, great piece you hastly put together but many errors as usual.
One of them errors is pretending that there are no racial quotas, there are and they even trickle down to club level. Why are you desperately trying to deny this, are you afraid to admit that the ZC admin is just as racist and oppressive as the earlier boards or even the Smith government? Are you afraid to admit that the warning Nietzsche gives has not been heeded and in fact you have become the monster you once hated?Certainly in some of your vitriolic diatribe you come across as a really bitter and angry person.
I'm pretty sure in the 80s-90s the ZC board was biased/racist to a degree, perhaps in choosing black players but definitely in choosing admin positions.
As for Williams "disgraceful behaviour"- yes he shouldn't have porky pied.
He is quite ok to swear and curse at Mangongo, as that is what Mangongo does to him and the other players(which is why Mangongo is owed no apology). Tradition and culture can get stuffed(and believe it or not it is also white culture that gives respect to the elders-and yes some of us can jump too.)
The reality is also this:- ZC once again has breached all their contracts as monies are outstanding still from the last trinations series 10's of thousands of dollars per player!!! Why the players decided on not striking was a silly choice..but this also illustrates the frustration from the players that they are training every day and not being paid, plus being insulted by the coach. I'm actually wondering why only Williams has had the balls to tell the coach to do one. After just getting back from Harare I also doubt that franchise players will be paid at the end of November-if the seasons starts on the 8th.

What i'm wanting to achieve is a system that works on a meritocracy, i don't want a flawed system that works on race, religion etc I don't want a system that works on tradition and culture and nepotism. I want a system that is based on merit.I don't want a system that hides behind pathetic sideline issues such as no zim passport no play, a system that ignores our wealth of talent overseas whom are legible for selection. If this is what you want Conant, then you are welcome to jump aboard and help its' realisation come to fruition. If it is not what you want, well pal, the world has moved on and racist bigots have no place in sport.
So you ARE a whitey?

So Conant, in your culture is the respect extended to elders, regardless of colour?

:o Haha, no i'm not which is why Conant doesn't like me so much. I guess to him i'm a snitch and a sell out.
We hated racism and oppression and now just because we are in power we haven't learnt from our history.

Woah...woah...woah, has this actually been confirmed that he lied about his sick relative?

No, just the truth. Anyone can sign up and claim to be a Zim cricket insider. Where's your proof that SW admits to lying about his sick relative?
