No collapse please.

I don't think Mire has a long future as Test opener. Definitely could be useful at 6/7

Mire and Masakadza did their part to be honest. Ervine and Taylor have to prove their worth now and really dig in for the next 40 overs. They are our best batsmen. They both have to score big.

Mire has what it takes.. I'm sure he will improve

Reserved spots are not up for other players. His future unfortunately is as a batsman in the Logan Cup waiting for Sean and Malcolm to retire.

Just sitting here waiting for the inevitable collapse! My money is on it all being over by this evening. If you only put on 159 in the 1st innings you haven't chance. Mire is the only bright spot for me - glad he got his debut.

as much as I have 'mired Mire (great pun) this game, I cant help thinking how in the hell he was selected?

his Logan stats leading up to the match were rubbiish, whereas Burls was good, and theres also Mawoyo and Justice?

Might push it to the 5th day I think.

WI should really have declared 8-10 overs before the close yesterday to give themselves a chance at 2/3 wickets.

Makes no sense why they batted on unnecessarily.

The quality of cricket displayed in this Test match (at times by both sides) really doesn't deserve to last 5 days.

It's been quite amateurish, and the pitch pathetic.

Anyone have any idea why Waller is playing? Has he been in good form domestically or something? I can't understand why that boy keeps getting picked....

Streak and Taibu have their favourites and they are trying very hard to get rid of the old guard. Mpofu and Tiripano weren;t there by accident.

Chamu has always been close to majority of batsmen in the side which is why he hasn't been dropped from the LOI squads.

Mire appears to be another one.

If Vusi and Williams were still tight I doubt he'd have fallen.
