Taylor has a chance to make history as the first Zim captain to hit 100 in each innings. We can make them come out for another unfortunate session of slog in the field.

Great day for Zim. Apart from a scary hour in the middle of the day, we ripped them apart. No reason not to bat for a while tomorrow.

Indeed a very satisfying display today. Happy for the ones who did thee damage today: Meth, Shingi, Jarvis, Taylor and Cremer.

Lol, just had a bit of fun going through the Bangladesh forum. Amazing how in the morning they were talking of getting a first innings lead of 400, and then at the end of the day they trail by 400 :) The world should appreciate that we really aren't a bad team and can compete reasonably well, despite playing in a political minefield / case study . If we had the resources and support that the lads from Bangladesh have, I believe we would be at a different level right now. One of the great tragedies of world cricket, imagine what would have been..... Looking to 2moro, how awesome would it be for us to bat for an hour, Taylor gets his century , and we add 60 to the total?

I don't think we'll be touring Zimbabwe ever again! Playing no Tests is better than farcical performances like these.

On the BD forum, they are putting down their performance to poor hospitality from Zim. Apparently, there are issues with the water in the Holiday Inn and when the water does come, it smells of petrol.....

There is a whole thread on this...

Im not in Zim so I dont know the situ on the Ground...is there any merit in this, and could this affect Bangladesh performance?

Before everyone gets carried away with Cremer's knock let us remember a couple of facts.

The top order are there to score runs. They do not. They are not up to it. Quite frankly Matsi would be better opening than that waste of space Maruma.

Cremer is there for his bowling which was, on spinning wickets in the Caribbean, verging on the inept.

Bear this in mind.

If there were problems I'm sure they were rectified soon enough. I'm in Zim and I'd hardly describe my living arrangements as 5 star ala Holiday Inn, but I've never heard of water smelling like petrol and all that nonsense, powercuts are still there, minimal, but most hotels, most buildings in fact, letalone Holiday Inn, have functioning backup generators. I'm sure there is no base to that story. Dangerous electric outlets, really??? Those sound just like sour excuses to me . If it was true im sure it would have been made more of an issue by the BCB. They seem satisfied with the hospitality, and so do the commentators

The Zim openers are there to do what they're always expected to do...see off the shine. Maruma (makeshift in Tinos absence) faced 44odd balls in the first innings. Hammy faced a few too where this win was set up. Failures will happen though to be sure

Test matches are the real test and I am proud of the fact of our test record against Bangladesh. That is a good excuse. Remember both of Bangladesh's captain in the last two visits had to sacrifice their captaincy. It looks like Mussy might face the same music if we hammer them 2-0
