I'm assuming they have DRS from super 6 onwards because then all the games are played at HSC and Queens. If not then there is no reason not to have them during the first round because teams carry forward those points into the Super 6.

Yes don't think other grounds have infrastructure to have a full scale camera setup and other requirements for drs . Also I am not really optimistic for a TV coverage on other grounds

Gumbie has probably challenged I Kaia for the spot in the team. Kaia has had a poor series and although I'd still prefer him over Gumbie for a start at least, I won't be surprised if the selectors go with Gumbie.

Brad Evans has put his hand up with a 5 wicket haul which is heartening to see. Blessing, Chatara, Wellington are in. So now Evans is in a direct fight with Ngarava for that 3rd seamers spot.

I'm pretty sure he's as low as 3rd choice in the Mountaineers wicketkeeping ranks nowadays? Part-time at best. Dropping the gloves possibly at least partially responsible for his totally miraculous upturn in fortunes with the bat I'd guess.
Gumbie has made 5 centuries in his 10-year career and 4 of them have been in the last 6 months I think. Remarkable and inexplicable!

Madande is the future so let him stick with the gloves.

In a straight shoot out on batting alone Wes would be picked ahead of Clive.

Said it before and i will say it again. Opening with a class batsman like Ben compton for mountaneers has really brought on Gumbies game.

To be honest the biggest loser here is Marumani not Madande. Madande is safe. Marumani needs more time to develop. He missed out big time today and I'm afraid that it might affect his position. We don't even know if he is a better wicket keeper than Gumbie.
