Welly is captain-in-waiting from what I see. It means he's top of every team list going forward.

Said it before and i will say it again. Opening with a class batsman like Ben compton for mountaneers has really brought on Gumbies game.
Maybe. It would be interesting to ask him.
If so this alone justifes these overseas guys every season.
If he publicly acknowledged it maybe more guys would pay attention.

Gumbie & Kaia to open. Madhevere is the one at risk now if everyone is available.

Gumbie
Kaia
Ervine
Williams
Raza
Burl
Madande

surely our best top-7 currently.
Bloody hell, Joylord has finally won you over then :D

Do you think they will go with 7 or 8 batsmen? If Williams can bowl is there a need for Wellington just for these qualifiers
I think they'll go with 7 as above. More than enough imo. Playing 8 would be very defeatist.

I'm not convinced he'll keep it up long term, but his form is remarkable so he has to be in for the time being, absolutely! Hope we'll get to see him and Kaia together in the remaining matches it would be interesting to compare them.

That's the key word 'form' and we'll done to Gumbie. Take your opportunity when it comes , Kaia has been somewhat out of form and shouldn't be a lock as an opener just yet. Count Maramuni out , Wes is an option I'd look at and I hope Myers gets a chance. Looks like Campbell won't get an opportunity which is dissapointing to say the least.

I didn't really expect that result. Let's hope this is Craig moving up the gears a the right time and not him having his one blinder. Joylord did well as well and is probably knocking on the door much louder now.

What we need now is Kaia Raza and hopefully Ngarava if he can to play the last 2 games and get some rhythm. Maybe Myers if he has recovered from his injury. Kaia especially needs some runs urgently. He has gotten himself out this series. He just needs to take his time

The whole thing about having a larger pool of players is that sometimes you can pick a player based on form alone but in Zim we certainly don't have that luxury. Joylord seems to have improved by miles but will his recent form really put him ahead of Kaia? We will wait and see. Joylord really needs to maintain his good run to justify selection and Kaia just needs to rediscover some form he has already proved himself at the highest level. I would to see all of Marumani, Gumbie, Kaia in the remaining two games to see these guys fight it out for a spot in the team.

M kinda sure ervine will also rest next game and Raza will come in . We can try Kaia and joylord at the top, marumani one down and madhevere two down. Followed by Raza burl and madande
