Ok he may not be having national ambitions just yet, but it appears that ZC (or Taibu) are clearly starting to get to grips with the fact that in kids like Welch, Byrom and a couple of others they missed a big opportunity, and the least they can do is get them involved in the FC structure

Re: Eddie Byrom FC debut for Somerset
We definitely haven't had this much batting depth in a very very long time. I would say we have a better batting line-up that in 2003 but the bowling is still a bit behind
Interesting that he is a local. So does that mean all Irish players in the county system play as internationals too ? Or is there a loophole for them. In other words if Byrom decided to play for Ireland today would he have to be registered as an international too? Surely since they are now full members there can't be a loophole for them

I'll give you guys a rare glimpse of inside zimdoggy knowledge.
Byrom= coming into zim a an overseas player, it meddles with England qualification (not sure if visa or cricket) being a local
Welch= going to play in Cape Town on account of it being a good opportunity with facts dictated at time of signing. If certain conditions were guaranteed, the preference would have been to be in the Logan Cup. In my opinion it wouldn't have taken much at all to be persuaded into a Logan cup gig this season.at all. Massive lost opportunity. If someone of influence really wanted him this season he would be there.

As he's in england , knows much more about the lad than myself . Knows the ins and outs about county contracts / being a overseas player ect . He knows contacts around him ect , didn't know it was a issue for you mate.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 6:54 amHow would Sloan know?Andybligzz wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 3:37 amDoes this mean he might be returning Sloan ? Indian and English cricket is a cult and bazball is delusional and embarrassing. Bumrah chucks it, Cummins has a shocking seam position, stokes is a fraud. Bangladesh shouldn’t have test status, Bradman was a coat.Marco Jansen is good, zim will rise !

Yes having 8 guys in the XI who actually have some clue of what the fuck is happening on the field is disgusting.watermelon wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2017 11:09 amYou guys aren't going to be happy until this team is 8/11 white.
