And Blessing stumped next delivery. Well i guess a 9 off 11 not out gets him back in the team.

Feel for the fans at the ground. They deserved a better performance by the team.

Zimbabwe need to select players based on merit. I don't think that is happening as of now. For example, has Myers proved himself to be a good T20 player? I'm not sure. Marumani was terrible behind the stumps. Burl needs to step up, he is also running out of time tbh.

He's got a direct replacement in Campbell who also bowls leggies, but probably not as well as Burl, and he can hit, but he's not in the squad.
Ryan has really gone off the boil batting wise atm.
The problem is if you pick Campbell then he should bowl. I think Ryan might get a reprieve next game because everyone else also failed. It's- we know he can bat vs we think he might be good one day once he works out his fatal flaw. Ryan probably wins that one.

I just don't get why people are convinced that Madande and Musekiwa are pure batters that can win you a game down the order? We've all got eyes and can see for ourselves that it's not going to happen very often. These big teams have serious bowling attacks, your skill level has to be thru the roof to be able to hit them reasonably consistently. They're going to round robin them with Wes and Faraz all the way to the world cups and we're not going to get close to being competitive. It's- we hope and pray they might be good one day. As Salamander said himself- they lack a bit of skill, but maybe these coaches will improve them. They're good enuf to smash an average attack or an average ball, they need to go up a level or two.

I'm sure Wes will get the next game, and perhaps even Faraz. Wes probably has the skills but lacks the firepower.

Our two strike bowlers went for 82 runs!!. And that was after their first two overs being good. Faraz's 110 kph in a holding pitch would have been a lot more useful actually.
I dunno what's happened to their accuracy of late, it's at an all time low.

What will really throw the cat amongst the pigeons is if Dion has a shit run. They've just automatically assumed his "generational talent" means he's going to be a superstar sooner rather than later. When u talk like that the Cricketing God's poke their fingers in your eye. If they give him 2 Alistair Campbell years we're doomed and he's doomed. If he has a slow start and you pen him in at 3 every game and every format it's going to end poorly.
Ditto Bennett as an opener. He will have a confidence draining poor run, it's the nature of the game. But he seems to have such a good attitude and confidence in his abilities, long may that last.

I thought we bowled okay for 17 overs and batted well for maybe 9 of them that’s 65% awesome

Not many posts on here today, not much post match analysis. I think we are all so used to it and numb to it all now.

Well, it's the same old issues. Just can't score any big runs (not counting any of the games v associates). Always 2 or 3 players look good for a little while until they get out. Relying on the big 3 all the time and in this format it's just Raza now and he might be injured so who is going to step up?

If Raza is out, can Burl step up? Give him the captaincy.

I don't think they can play Musekiwa again in this series. Looked all at sea against the spinners. Faraz should come in for him.

Thanks Mutendera
Musekiwa was something to see ..Campbell and Welch couldnt do that..
Could ir be possible for Faraz for Gwandu again and Wes for Musekiwa or Madande, at least Wes can bowl..
