Oh I know the government interferes in sports in South Africa and Zimbabwe, that is why the sporting teams are in such bad shape.
It is a credit to Streak that he wants to take on this poisoned chalice. Inevitably the politcians will be unhappy with something and haul him before some kangaroo court. Too bad the politicians never face any consequences for their own poor performance.
Since we don't have a football section on here I will put this here, I think an all-white Bafana Bafana would have more success than the current lot.
It happens everywhere, even in IND, SL etc.
you wouldn't be able to assemble enough white players good enough to make up an XI, never mind a 17/18 man match squad. Even if you could, they wouldn;t be able to beat the worst side in Namibia, never mind Zimbabwe or Zambia. White schools in SA don't even build soccer pitches here. Most of them are private. It's a deliberate strategy to avoid tainting their kids with sport for ..... ! Anyway govt is putting in place laws to force them to do so. It's already doing that in "white" gvt schools. Go to the other section.
Any chances of a white quota to develop grass-roots development in football?

The same rules to include Africans in cricket and rugby also apply to Bafana Bafana. They must have 3 whites on average. That's why you see 2-3 white player son average playing for Bafana Bafana, no matter how bad they are. That's why cricket and rugby boards were under pressure, because soccer in SA was following govt rules to its own detriment. You don;t read about these things because soccer is not a white man sport here.
so you're claiming Buffoona Buffoona were following a self imposed white quota system in the spirit of reconciliation and this was such an embarrassment that the government decided to get unfriendly with the rugby and cricket boards? Even for you bud, this is a new low.
There is no quota system for Bafana Bafana. After researching some South African football forums, many fans are complaining that white players, particularly those playing overseas in Europe, are regularly overlooked.
