Criticisms around the World Cup really should just be focusing on the BCCI's inability to do the basics properly, whether that be ticketing issues, a non-existent marketing campaign or the stupid scheduling such as not having India play the first game and then still having the first game in a120,000 seat stadium.

Nitpicking over things like crowd sizes at the beginning of games when the matches last for 8 hours and are starting in the middle of the afternoon with temperatures in the mid-30s is just pointless.

Don't forget the terrible theme song also. The BCCI is trying hard to make this the worst organized CWC of all time!

This format has a lot to answer for and no wonder nobody is interested. There is very little jeopardy early on in the competition and the first few rounds of games feel pretty pointless. It will be literally weeks before there is any excitement and must-win games.

While I do agree that T20 WC at the moment looks more appealing, not least because it's more inclusive and exciting, it is not fair to blame the ODI format as such SZ.

I think poor pitches and a 10 team format has got it boring.

I hate the qualification process too but probably is another topic Hate how they select 8 out of the 10 teams through rankings, don't know about any other sport which does this.

This time there was the super league but from next time it will be the same again. I'm basing it upon that.

To be honest the people I've been speaking to have said the same thing about cricket now. They've all said its just not the same. They can't put their finger on it but I think it's more to do with the fact that there's so much T20 being played now and that test cricket seems to have fallen off a cliff. I don't remember the last time I saw India in India play a test. Sky sports used to cover everything. I miss watching the boxing day test match in Oz too. This format is slowly dieing sadly

There's no doubt these T20 tournaments have taken the shine off internationals.
Personally I like the 50 over format the best, but I'm in the minority.
ICC have as usual fucked it up by making it a 10 team format. If they had their way they'd have India North Vs India South and call it the World Series.
