Fair enough, credit where it’s due, but was 5(35) at one point and that’d have been sinister had he got out.

Re: ZIM A vs CAN [1st Unofficial ODI]
You can always come to Zim. Don't worry about Jonty, I'll hook you up with a passport

Re: ZIM A vs CAN [1st Unofficial ODI]
Can you hook him up with the all important ICC 3 year residency papers though?

Re: ZIM A vs CAN [1st Unofficial ODI]
Jeez X has exploded with the usual black white issue. Coltart putting up Matt Welch's stats next to Makoni's.
Zolsky is now being accused of posting under the Takashinga club banner.
Larry now stating they look at potential. Well if they looked at potential AND stats MW will surely get a game
What is odd is that he's always opened but now theyre saying hes a 3 or 4 so hes not Tanu's competition. The same guys who are saying he's not a keeper either. It's weird.
There's no difference between an opener and 3, certainly not in Zim. 3 comes in within 5-10 overs most times.
I'm actually in the look at potential dept all day in our system, but the guys that decide that either have bias or don't really know what they're looking for. I once watched Grant Flower watching Ed Byrom intently in the nets when he was about 10 years old. I asked him why the interest and he said to me- can't you see? This kid is going to be awesome. I could certainly see something but I wasn't gobsmacked like Grant was. How right he was.
Makoni is a decent player, but there are a few guys ahead of him. Dunno if you guys watched Chiorah, he's an interesting player, if he sees it in his slot he goes 120%, he's got a great eye, but as I said his technique is poor. How they think he's A standard is just weird, but he certainly brings something to the table and will make runs in franchise. My point is they've watched him blast and think he can carry that into a higher level of cricket. That would put him in the Maxwell bracket. He'll refine his game and make a lot of runs at franchise, but he's going to struggle at the next level. They don't bowl you too many freebies there. He's going to make runs in the T20 comp, I'll guarantee it. We'll hear the calls for him to play nationals and if they get excited he will fail. He may equip himself at some point, but that's not soon. I was one that was looking forward to Bully playing in T20 and I was told by several people he would struggle internationally. They were right and I was wrong. Bully in his heyday was a was better player than Chiorah, way better.

I think Naqvi will be a fail at international level, except teams like Ireland

I’m not an Economist but What exactly is your beef with 20% inflation. Biden got it up to 10, so I think Trump would want to target 20 to prove he’s better.
Besides look at this way. Markets, both stock and crypto were at all time highs when Trump took office a few weeks ago. Those prices need to come down so new investors like me can enter the market. Inflation plus high interest rates are just the kind of catalyst that can bring the markets down 30% or more from their most recent all time highs.
Look at bitcoin. It hit its ATH of around 108,000 USD just after Trump took office. Now it’s at 81,000 as I type. It could just be a technical correction…but I suspect fears of economic trouble are also present.
Traditional stocks are also similarly tumbling from their ATH achieved in Trumps first week.
I’ve managed to increase my cash only positions in the past couple of weeks to about 80% of my humble portfolio balance. Once there’s a serious dip of 20% plus I’ll be buying back in in my long term retirement accounts. My main account is a trading account so that’s almost always cashed out every day by market close.
But speaking to why the markets are falling…as a member of the elite 1% you might not keep a close eye on it since you’ll be fine either way…but there are more inflationary catalysts right now vs anti-inflationary by my count.
Tax cuts for the rich (neutral). This is moving money from the middle class to the rich. It’s not actually adding money to the economy so this is neither inflationary nor deflationary.
Tariffs. Massively inflationary. Extra taxes will be passed onto consumers for companies and merchants to break even.
Reducing cheaper migrant labor. Inflationary because hiring American workers to do things immigrants did for cheaper wages will only make things more expensive.
Ending remote work. This is actually deflationary. Work from home meant companies were suddenly wasting tons of money on office space that was not being used. These extra costs once again got passed down to the consumer as higher prices for goods and services to make up for that wastage.
