I wouldn't say that. Morton in particular seems to be suffering from the same lack of urgency that killed WI in the 1st ODI - I'd hope we could strangle them again and just run them out of time. It's those wickets in hand that are the problem, though...brmtaylor.com admin wrote:Zimbabwe's only hope of winnings is to bowl the West Indies out.

Followed by an even poorer over by Dabengwa. Would require an absolute miracle for Zimbabwe to pull this one off. Maybe they should throw the ball to Brendan Taylor.

Great catch by Chibhabha. Its been see-saw regarding fielding fortunes. 2 half chances dropped. A simplest skier spilled by Taylor, another dropped by Keith and two great catches by Elton n Chibhabha now.

Its great to see legendary Campbell and handsome Viljoen commentating.
that batting collapse is really hurting. This game was ours for the taking only IF...a very big if.

Is Andy Pycroft and Pommie in the commentary box as well?Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic) wrote:Its great to see legendary Campbell and handsome Viljoen commentating.

I think that there might be the match. Good effort by the boys, but very, very disappointing that 9 wickets fell in 15 overs. 232 was never going to be enough. 250 I thought would be about par, and by the looks of the WI innings that looks about right.43.3 Price to Bravo, SIX

I am soo disspointed!! Never felt this crosss!! Just when i thought young Vusimuzi was gonna hit a century home, he gets bowled out. Afterwards we lose wickets. I think we need to improve and be consistent with the bat.

Match report & scorecard up at zimcricketnews.
The only plus out of this is that it was a lot closer than it could / should have been - between this match and the 1st ODI, Zim have shown that they can beat the big boys, if they can just keep their game together. The bowling now is more or less sorted - it's the batting that's the issue, but I've been saying that for about 3 years now, and I'm beginning to despair...The Queen’s Sports Club pitch has presented problems to Zimbabwe’s batting several times in recent months - on this occasion, I don’t think it’s understating the problem to say their inability to handle the pitch has cost them the match. This is something that really needs to be addressed, and soon.
