Its miles out of town for one. Its in an extremely dodgy area. Theres soccer matches going on all around u. Half the ground is doesnt have grass. The toilets cannot even be called toilets.

Basically a complete disgrace.

On the cricket side of things, can Shingi push for WC selection ?? We all know he goes for runs but so do all our seamers. Things in his favour are he has always been a wicket taker, he bowls a good Yorker and slower ball and he is inform with the bat scoring that massive hundred in club cricket ......

I wouldn't call it a dodgy place though (Am I biased because I live a 15 minute walk away?). That being said, Takashinga is getting shittier by the day.

Takashinga of all places?? Our good game has gone to the dogs indeed, the running of the sport gets shittier by the day. I weep for Zimbabwe Cricket.

One wonders why they cannot use Country Club, Alex Park or Old Hararians? Personally i would split matches between Harare Sports Club and Queens Sports Club/BAC, its important we use other cities and not too much of Harare.

Valid point Kopje. The thrust of developing and spreading the game has been totally lost. The demise of the Southern Rocks and now the potential death of the Mountaineers is very much a likelihood. The number of games being played outside of Harare has alienated cricket in areas of real potential. The high concentration and number players who are resident in Harare in most Franchises is alarming and for me makes me feel disconnected to my place of Origin being Manicaland with only 3 Mutare boys in the team filled by 8 Harare Zezurus

Imagine if the top blokes only stole 80% of the money and not 99% like now? Would we have the old t20 back with big names like Chris Gayle playing at Takashinga ? Imagine.
