They have to think ‘who don’t Afghanistan want us to pick?’ The best chance Zimbabwe have to beat them is on hard fast decks that take the spinners out of the game and bring in the pacers which will make Hazrutallah and co uncomfortable. Jarvis & Chatara are locks, but who would Afghanistan rather face, Tiripano or some speed merchant with a slinger action they’ve never seen before??

Pick him for the UAE series and see how he goes, if he fails you can always go back to Tiripano or Mpofu

It might seem premature, but it could be a while before we get any more limited overs internationals and with the WT20 qualifiers coming up pretty soon we need to have a look at him, especially if he can live up to the comparisons to Malinga and bowl the death overs well.
