That is very unfortunate indeed
Surely, ZC would have got compensation from the BCCI, I can't see any other way they'd agree to have it cancelled or postponed...
It is a great shame, but hardly much of a surprise. With the official IPL going on at the same time India would be missing most, if not all, of their major players.
It is odd that as Zim have 'good' relations with the Asian cricket boards that this was not sorted out much earlier.
I only hope now that, if any compensation has been agreed, it has not yet been paid and will not be paid until the uncertainty of the elections has been settled and it can be reasonably certain that the money will go to Zim cricket rather than into the back pockets of certain individuals.
This is heights of apathy towards Zimbabwean Cricket. This means no top level cricket for Zim till November, when Srilanka is scheduled to tour. Time for the ZC to plan a couple of ODI series against Bangladesh and Kenya and win them handsomely and catch the attention. Otherwise, Zimbabwe will not exist on the cricketing maps very soon.
Hope an improved political situation will boost cricket in Zimbabwe...
zimbabwe should now look imediatly at playing Bangledesh and kenya. Bangledash did poorly against Pakistan. Zimbabwe have to start playing More countrys in cricket.
I think zimbabwe should invite Kenya for a ODI series and maybe a four day game or 2 because both countries havnt got games on the ICC fixture list for months so it would be a good idea and it will also give us an idea of how strong zimbabwe are because they are playing weaker and it is also an oppurtunity for them to move up the ODI rankings.
