Bowling........What The Hell Happened ??!!

Well, what's the problem ??
Is it a lack of skill, a lack of confidence, a lack of ability maybe. Which ever one it may be, it needs sorting out drastically with the tour to Bangladesh and the World Cup coming up. I mean did any of our 'Quick'bowlers' have an economy under 8 throughout the T20 and ODI series >>?? I doubt it. Nicolson looks to have some pace and bounce be he, like the rest of the pack, lack international exposure and is an extremely raw bowler, as is Mazakadza. I think the one positive thing is that all our bowlers have serious talent, and than can be nurtured with time. But my god we're supposed to be playing test cricket next year !! What then ?? Can we afford to just let opposition batting teams just score 500 runs a day against us ?? No !
For me it's a lack of experience.
A lot of these guys lack first class experience let alone international. Mazakadza and Nicolson have only played 42 first class matches between them ! That's not enough. I'd have had somebody like Panyangara in who's played international cricket before, and has had some success as a swing bowler. Another look out for is Muzarabani. Apparently he has some gas, and has the potential to be a good fast bowler.
Rainsford played only one game on the tour......what the hell ??
Mpofu looked low on confidence and ryhthem.
Mazakadza has pace and bounce but lacks control, and needs to play more first class cricket.
Ian Nicholson is just not ready for the international arena yet. But with Nicolson atleast you get some pace. He bowled at 87 clicks today against Amla, and was touching 83/84 almost every delivery.
Out of the spinners Utsea probably had the better tour. He may not have picked up too many wickets, but he managed to stem the flow of runs atleast, something Cremer and Dabengwa failed to do.
A lot of you guys may laugh at me here, but i would now fill the side with spinners....i actually would.
Our pace bowlers are going nowhere at the moment, and runs are being leaked almost every single ball for god sake !!
But we all know this won't happen since Streak wants more pace in the side.
The sooner Kyle Jarvis, Tendai Chitara and Keegan Meth get a shot again, the better. Atleast they can provide raw pace and Meth control.
Get your thinking cap on Mr Streak. Lots of work is needed on this pace battery
