Chatara

Post by jimbo »

Butcher talked about Abdul rassaq putting in match winning performances for bangladesh making the difference between the two sides while he commented that the Zim bowlers were effective but not bowling match winning spells. I've been following Chataras performances with keen interest in the Logan Cup and he seems to take wickets consistently. Could he Be Zimbabwe's X factor with his Pace?..that can produce match winning spells in the ODI and test Arena, I've been told this Boy bowls really quick and he has just taking 4 wickets for Mountaneers against eagles Including the wickets Of Mutizwa/Andrew hall and Peter Moor all good Batsmen.
Personally I would give him a go myself to see If he can be Zimbabwe's X factor

Chitara and Jarvis are the brightest pace prospects for our future.
Add Mazakadza jnr to that list if you may.
The problem is blooding them too early. He's only 19. I'd make sure he learns his trade in first class cricket first. Remember what happened to Nicolson.....don't want that to happen to young Tendai

Looks like Chatara bowled well today.
A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.

I was shocked that Nicholson was included in the Ireland match at the tail end of the series to be honest

I was even more suprised to see him picked for the South Africa Tour :o

Chatara is 19 sure but a lot of sides blood players at an early age, I think Sachin tendulkar made his debut as a 16 year old for india..need I say no more
