Woudve liked to have seen chatara in the side rather than payangara, jarvis was relatively economical and good to see that Khwaja and Hughes went cheaply

Giving up over 400 runs in a day is a bit concerning. It seems that none of our bowlers were able to contain them.

Giving away 400 runs in one day is totally unacceptable! Mushangwe took a bit of a beating. At least Chigumbura didn't leak runs and also good to see Jarvis bowling economically.

Okay so people complain that Chatara has very little experience against International opposition Where exactly is he supposed to get that experience if not here. UNLESS he is definitely [playing in the four dayers.

He actually got the best economy rate of the bowlers and bowled the most overs so for someone coming from injuries I think it can only get better.

Maybe campbell is keeping back Chatara for the four day matches to be the secret weapon!! lol

I hope some of the pacers make an impression, we need to attack Bangladesh with pace when they tour not spin, A fast bowling troup of Chigumbura/meth and Mpofu does not fill me with confidence, Much better would be Mpofu/Jarvis/Masacadza and maybe chigumbura as the fourth Bowler leaving Price in the mix to be the lone spinner

anyway not a good start by zim, maybe the batters will make more of an impression

Interesting! Except I don't understand why you want Shingi ahead of Chatara when the 'training' period and the coaches' assessment adjudged him, Panyangara & Ncube to be behind Chatara. We are not on the ground ourselves, so surely the views of the people working closely with them should be trusted. Again, were Shingi/Jarvis to be selected ahead of Meth, that would invalidate the effort invested & results obtained during the List A series. Jarvis is right when he says he cannot expect to walk into the side. There are two games so if need be, he will get a chance in the second. Fact is, with his pace and potential to increase it, he will and should get preference as time goes by.

Like yourself I don't really favor Chigumbura. But we cannot escape one thing, while his batting may be regressing indefinately right now, he has upped his bowling. Often times in the List A series I hoped he(&Chakabva) would mess up in order to throw his chance away but he didn't crack. He kept his economy down, and has been taking a wicket or two in each game. All of which are a sign that he is trully aware of how vulnerable he is having lost captaincy. As with Prosper, what this has done is reinvigorate him to work harder and deliver more. I don't see the powers that be dropping him unless Jarvis suddenly cracks a confident half-century in this game, which would make them rethink their position on Elton. Other than that he has shown his mental strength and he deserves to be rewarded with our backing.

One other interesting thing is that you're open to having one spinner, which is what I favor as well. As it stands I think both Price & Utseya will be there. Despite a below-par showing, Price is too experienced to be dropped, and how can the selectors explain their decision to Prosper&the god of common-sense, were they to drop him after such a stellar showing.....
