I would like to invite you to take a look at this FB page…..
Chitungwiza Junior Cricket is thriving and the CJPL is throwing up some great games this year.
7 primary schools are playing games each week. St Aidans are the focal point (Madhevere, Munyonga, Nyamhuri) and they will turn out many more internationals in the coming years…..(thanks largely to coach Malcom Chikuwha)
4 of the other schools did not play cricket 3 years ago……..but they now have a qualified coach, a supportive headteacher and (limited) facilities/equipment for training and matches….
Happy to talk more if there is interest…..

Malcolm is one of the true good guys in Zimbabwe. So pleased that you’ve been supporting him and this whole initiative so well for the past several years.
Massive props to you. Also glad you are on here to plug it as unfortunately plenty of fans and posters outside of Zim don’t seem to know about it and the good work you are doing.

Such a cool project.
Can follow the scores on the ZC app.
Is Dillon Nyamhuri as good as his numbers suggest he might be?!!

I know since moving across to peterhouse his already made a double hundred against lomagundi and 150 against falcon College.
Which are just insane scores.

Dillon is every bit as good as his stats suggest. Scoring centuries at St Aidans since he was 9!! He’s at Peterhouse now. He had plenty of options. He’s a very good keeper as well. Lovely family. Very level headed.
In the same age group, we have sent Andy Tabvura to Churchill on scholarship. Another one to watch. Off spinner / batsman…..
Churchill have a new headteacher (and coach) and are doing a great job of reinvigorating a couple of the fields

Great day. Kids loved it……
There’s plenty of life in junior cricket…….certainly in Chitown
And we are currently talking to a couple of primary schools about off-field facilities

Ok!
Because they do suggest that he will be at least a slight upgrade on Brian Lara!
* Tries not to get too excited *
