In 2011 when ZIM resumed Tests, Panyangara was 25 years old, plus twice as good and experienced as Vitori, Jarvis and Chatara, but stupidly overlooked.
Heck to this day those 3 are still nowhere near as fast or as excellent as an 18 year old Panyangara, and they have never been as consistently fast apart from the odd Jarvis/Vitori ball.
Muchinjo's article is several years too late.
The previous regime lost Watambwa, the best product since Streak. The new regime(s) lost Panyangara - a better prospect than both Streak and Watambwa - not once but twice!
Such excellence doesn't come once every 3/4 years. It's a 10 year cycle.
System failure behind fast bowling woes
Re: System failure behind fast bowling woes
There is no such thing as an 18 year old or 25 year old Panyangara anymore.

Sad but true!
.

. NB: Both Cremer and Utseya made their u19 debut. Neither bowled!
.
ZIM had Elton(then fit+fast), but they ignored Panyangara(who left) and Rainsford(for some strange reason)!
End result? A broken Elton Chigumbura from all those years of being the only seamer next to an army of spinners!
That trio is/was more dangerous than KJ, TC and BV.
Poll suggestion:
EC + ER + TP vs BV + KJ + TC
That dangerous trio dealt with the Sri Lankan u19s too... Almost bowled ZIM to victory IN THE SUB CONTINENT!

Hahah seriously the only good Aussie player there is Tim Paine , the rest are a bunch of failed
Domestic players and club cricketers. That would be up there with one of Australia’s worst under 19 teams. Seriously get over panyangara he’s fat and slow now and is not
Coming back ! Move on ffs !!

The Zimbabwe Cricket team have found Ebola in one of their members, but they're not concerned because they have also found Ebatsmen and Efielda!

So you admit that the Logan Cup is a top competition then if it produces players above the likes of Henriques?Andybligzz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2017 10:48 pmHahah seriously the only good Aussie player there is Tim Paine , the rest are a bunch of failed Domestic players and club cricketers.
FYI Silva, Matthews and Tharanga are in that list. Australia's "finest" got whitewashed by them.
ZCF continues to perpetuate this myth, but that's not what his new employers have said.Seriously get over panyangara he’s fat
Re: System failure behind fast bowling woes
Pariah, panyangara has wanted out for a while. A year ago he emailed wanting to play for my friends club. He’s been trying to move to oz for a while.

Re: System failure behind fast bowling woes
Panyangara has actively sought to leave Zimbabwe on his own accord for quite some time. Pariah's idea that Panyangara has been pushed out by the coaches is a myth.

Most of the zim players average more at international level than what Henriques does for Australia so yes I would say thatpariah wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2017 10:56 pmSo you admit that the Logan Cup is a top competition then if it produces players above the likes of Henriques?Andybligzz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 18, 2017 10:48 pmHahah seriously the only good Aussie player there is Tim Paine , the rest are a bunch of failed Domestic players and club cricketers.

NB: Zimbabwe's domestic cricket is centralised i.e. Provincial not Franchise anymore!!!
