Sikander and BT are the true leaders of the group. Hence why they were invited to the ICC meetup.
Hammys just a bottom feeder.
I don’t know why Raza was never skipper full time. He was great that time he filled in. He leads by example.
BT is ok but captaincy and keeping and batting up the top is too much.
100 percent Raza should skip.

If you dissect what may have caused that change room split it’s not comfortable.
Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
Let's analyse what happened:
1. Two players appoint themselves to go to the ICC board meeting. Just like the SRC and Interim Board, they were shown the middle finger.
2. What are the credentials of those players?
a) One abandoned the game in Zimbabwe, and said a lot of nasty things many of which were false - falsehoods that made headines. later he was coaxed back(alongside Jarvis) with HUUUUGE sums of money. He has a history of displaying false and divisive actions/statements that slander ZC administrators then later retract unpunished, as shown in the past when he had to aplogise on contradicting even the likes of Dave Houghton. He also never toed the line as far as fitness regimes were concerned, while insisting on his selection - such is/was his level of entitlement.
b) The other a player who publicly criticised the ICC over it's CWC format decisions in a major live presentation, and was recently suspended and left out of the Zimbabwe team selections for breaching standard international rules around NOCs.
3. Hamilton Masakadza is THE captain. Regardless of what may be perceived about his personality or whatever else, he is THE captain. In terms of official authority, his voice alone stands as far as the men's national team are concerned, and crucially it was very much in sync with the captain of the ladies' national team. ICC Reports:
4. I saw some screenshots of some whatsapp messages to the effect that "team was weakened by absence of some players due to winter contracts". Interestingly, of the players whom I would assume were are on the two "rebels'" side, Taylor, Raza, Craig Ervine, Williams, Vice Captain Moor and Kyle Jarvis played every single match. Nethelands were weakened, and Ireland rotated a lot, but those players formed the core of the XIs that were humiliated. Considering that core, apart from Chatara and Hamilton, make up the class of players with central contracts, and that they are by far the highest paid, with two of them together probably earning more than the entire Dutch side combined, it was a very stupid thing to raise the 'missing players-winter contracts' excuse. I hope for their sakes it was Hamilton who raised that argument because the whatsapps are not clear who is saying what....Masakadza was simply trying to act to get Zimbabwean cricket back on its feet and that many players agreed with most of the contents of the letter
If ever there were players whom the team(or whatever faction) could have selected, those two were the worst possible options in the greater scheme of things.
History will once again repeat itself. Did they not learn from Andy Flower's selfish actions, which did not prevent the likes of Streak, Blignaut, Price, Alsitair Campbell etc from returnig to the arms of ZC? Andy was a very vocal individual who rubbed up his team-mates, coaches and adminisitrators the wrong way, so there was never going to be any lasting impact from his actions.
NB: Reminds one of AB's actions in SA. No matter how talented his behaviour had already annoyed alot of his team-mates long before he retired. He was no longer welcome in the changing room, and ultimately that's what pushed him away. I don't think a Raza, BT, or KJ will feel completely comformatable ging forward in a change rooom with the likes of Chakabva, Musakanda, Mashinge, Chari, Chatara, Wellingotn, Mavuta, etc. They will feel unwelcome and rightly so. And I very much doubt that an old Williams or young Ryan Murray will care much about their absence. Same with a Chris Morris or Rassie in AB's case.
Voice of reason.

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
Encore you are either trolling or only see one side of the story. First, with all this going on of course they were going to lose to Netherlands and Ireland. From the body language displayed at the games you could see the team is divided and unfortunately it appears to be somewhat on racial lines which is unfortunate ( big problem with Zimbabwe).
A lot of the tension in SA and Zim is because of the quotas system whereby the best players such as AB and Taylor get irritated that inferior players are in the team compared to what they perceive would be the best. Of course taylor should get paid more as he is the best by a long way. I agree he does appear to be a bit unfit and wouldn’t get away with this in other teams.
And Andy flower and olonga took a brave stance against something they perceived as an injustice. That is why they left zimbabwe cricket not the other reasons you have mentioned.

And we can’t hide the fact a lot of the zim team is lucky to be playing international cricket
Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
Once again encore, talking utter shite.
1) they are players taking leadership and seeking good change, something the captain should do but doesn't.
2) The credentials of these players are on and off the field. Single handedly winning us games and series. Taylor has single handedly carried this side for so long, and Raza was player of the tournament at the qualifiers. They have proven their metal by the fact that other clubs want them.
3) he is only captain by name, not actions or performances. He says nothing and does nothing. Only for himself.
4) yes,and those players were the only who really performed. Ervine was the best on tour. It was not a stupid thing to raise up because ZC should be engaging their best players. Hammy would not raise that because he doesn't care for others. Don't play dumb, WhatsApp messages are easy to know who is who.
5) now i know you're dead set stupid. Attacking two of the best players in the world. Andy Flower and AB. Players that clubs clamored to sign up. One who CSA begged to come back. Also, nice of you to ignore the death threats against Andy and Henry.
It shits me how Zimbabweans will damage Zimbabwe for personal gain.
Take your racism and go crawl back to your hole..

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
The ICC have been shown enough evidence of what happens here. They are happy with the Mukhulani’s Morons, of that there’s no doubt. That ICC chairman is a Mukhulani on steroids himself. Their determination to back ZC in the face of overwhelming evidence going back 15 years is proof of that.
The reason for that team split will come out just now.
Keeping quiet when it’s time to speak out against years of poor treatment only means one thing. They were given a coke and promised a bun if ZC won the day. End of.
What’s also clear is that Hamilton has been key to keeping players in line for many years because this was the time to speak like never before. There might have been a speech about “we’ll never be a colony again!” and all that stirring stuff, but it would have had a more practical aspect as well- like a couple of you won’t see a national side ever again if we have competent people in charge. and here’s $10
The clock she is ticking and this may be the biggest player rift we’ve seen yet.

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
The sad reality is that we don’t deserve membership. The whole world can see that and if they bothered to send a non corrupt ICC official out here to take a proper look he’d think he’d landed in Somalia.
We’ve got an SRC board on the one hand with no specialist knowledge of cricket and a ZC board on the other who purport to have knowledge and love for the game. SRC need to test that claim, if they can’t prise their snouts out the jar they must just sit tight and let Zimbabwe and the world see who they really are. If they love it that much they will step down immediately so the boys and girls can carry on playing cricket. They can’t win against the SRC unless the SRC capitulate, but I don’t think they should.
Here’s the reality. It’s a week into the deadline and everybody is pleading and begging SRC and Coventry and Mlotshwa to show humanity and love and kindness and let cricket live.
With a week to go EVERYBODY will be begging and pleading and threatening ZC to step down. They will do a 180. A part of me wants to see that 11th hour about face.

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO
Once again, you're missing the point and getting emotional about personal issues and perspectives.
FOCUS!
Facts are facts. Cold hard facts. There is a set of people shooting themselves in the foot here on this Sports Minister-SRC-ZC-ICC-Players saga. Stick to facts.
Taylor and Raza should not have been the players approaching the ICC on this. One is viewed as an unfairly overpaid average player who simply wants to secure his bank account, and the other a rebellious player with no respect of his board and standard internationl rules, as well as one who insulted the ICC on a big stage. Whatever your thoughts and feelings, those are the facts. And if you think that does not matter to the ICC, then I've got news for you.
The anti-ZC team has as its spearheads a severly conflicted Administrator in Mlotshwa, as well as a pair who have zero moral merit in the eyes of anyone in that ICC committee. The reason why Peter Chingoka, Ozias Bvute, and now Mukhuhlani and Givemore Makoni have consistently outsmarted the other camp is failure to separate emotions from facts, and failure to think logically and present a cogent fight. The West bullied the rest of the world, not because it was smarter or had the numbers, but because it was wealthier and bought success. Wheels are changing - BRICS. As temperamental as many might think Trump(and now Boris) is, there is no emotion when he eventually takes action. That is why he's been a highly successful 45th.
Lastly, one would think common sense dictates that Hami should be the very last player for people to be pointing fingers at here. Come on, this is Hami for crying out loud, and if you've followed him from debut until now you should know better what he's been through, and be able to have a balanced perspective. Besides, how many players can you think of in Zimabwe's history, who are more educated than him or literally completed their education before focusing on the game? The fact that some are even pointing fingers at him is for various reasons, is precisely why you have and will always fail to to overcome the people that you are against at ZC!!!
NB: With that in mind, I sincerely wonder, which top Black player of Zimbabwean birth is still in good standing in this forum. I really do wonder, and I don't think anyone here can name at least 3 to him/her-self. That's significant.
